Absolutely adorable. I usually slow stitch my projects just a little bit bigger, that being said, how do you know when to use sewing thread or embroidery thread? I also ❤ your stash of sequin and sheer fabrics. I’m a new convert from “Perfectly Pieced Pieces” if you know what I mean, and I’m still struggling with combining and layering different textures. I absolutely LOVE your videos most of all!! I already know how to hand stitch, it’s the new style of “Slow Stitching” that I’m learning, and you my dear are PHENOMENAL 🥳🫶🏼☀️🌺😊🧵🪡🌸

Thank you so much! I agree that projects like this with layers of random fabric and textures are more of a challenge than the ones that fit together perfectly to resemble something. I decide how thick I want the stitching to be and then choose the thread. Sometimes I just want it to disappear into the piece and other times I want to use it to add a lot of texture.

I find metallic thread difficult to work with. You need lots of patience, which you have in abundance!

Yes it can be a pain! It helps if the needle has a larger eye. It gave me a bit of trouble but not enough to make me give up. 😉

Thank you! I usually make fabric books so I can look at my stitching any time. It’s like looking through a photo album. This one will be rolled onto something. Maybe a large spool or a stick. I’m not sure yet. 😊
