Even their peel sessions were better than the actual recordings one example is their song shine. The actual recording for that song was horrible in comparison to the ps.

@@Godloveszaza What a hot take! The studio version of Shine is beautiful in its own right. Over-produced? Absolutely. There are layers upon layers of guitars in the mix, vocals too (3-part harmonizations)! Oh man, though... it's certainly one of the most ethereal, soft-stroke paint brushed songs I've ever heard. Honestly peak Slowdive. Ozean is another one of those bands that emulated that type of sound in their own music. In the context of shoegaze, I'll take modulation & reverb over fuzz any day.

This Slowdive "Demos" has stuck with me since it was uploaded and I ripped the audio to make available on my phone nearly a decade ago. Crazy to think I was in highschool listening to such beautiful music. Every morning on the bus, cold and alone. Still am, just not on the bus. I love eveyone who loves this. But a special place in my heart for those understand the spiritual uplift of "Like Up" @4:51

The song "I saw the Sun" is fantastical so surreal and dreamy, I adore it. I just lost my mom, and we had a song about the sun we would sing to each other. This comforts me. I love Slowdive so much!!!

You described what I find very hard to put into words, for me this made me feel like being in a parallel dimension. The first track ignited a sort of nostalgic feeling inside me for something I feel like I had but forgot, it felt spiritual, and deep, at least we got to experience that feeling again for a few minutes playing this, isn't that a sort of blessing, also the realization that this band was making music, and gave way for shoegaze makes me appreciate them even more, I wouldn't know what shoegaze is without slow dive, I will probably listen to this band til the day I die and I wouldn't get tired of this music not for one second because it always makes me feel so deeply
