I recently bought SARM1. It is very solid and all fittings are tight, maybe even too tight. I have to push the barrel against the floor to get dust cover open. It has common AK "two groups" problem and I bought Radom bolt carrier for it, which should clear the problem. I am planning to put CAA aluminum tube for CTR stock, but that I think I leave for a professional, because it just wont fit. If it were cheaper plastic, I would do it myself. This one has thumb safety, which I'm not sure yet if I want to keep it or not.

Could the light strike on the primer have been caused by bad ammo, like maybe the case was out of spec, and the bolt didn't go completely into battery? If it were Hornady ammo, I would probably rule that out, but I wouldn't for Tulammo or Kreblekistan surplus ammo.

Rob I have an unrelated question about magazines for the 5.45. I recently came across some 5.45 Bulgarian polymer mags for $10-15 each the site says they have steel lined and have steel feed lips but I can see from the picture that the locking lugs are not steel. Do you have any experience with these mags and are they worth it? Or would it be better to pay the extra for full steel reinforced?

@p03saucez8 жыл бұрын
Good video. But FYI that ledge on the hammer is found on every Arsenal "two-stage" FCG. It's intentional; not a deformation of material. That ledge is what creates the "two-stage" feel they advertise. This is well documented on AKFiles and has been the subject of many flame war threads between those who love or hate the Arsenal "two-stage" FCG. I personally despise the Arsenal "two-stage" FCG and have always either polished the ledge down or swapped out the FCG entirely in every one of my Arsenals. It's worth noting here that while Arsenal's "two-stage" sucks ass, their "single-stage" is vastly superior. But for whatever reason they don't install the "single-stage" FCG in any of their SLR series rifles or pistols.
@AkOperatorsUnion8 жыл бұрын
I think they have totally failed with that idea of "2 stage" on my SLR...honestly, this is like 10x better trigger now. Still it has very long travel, but at least is consistent...
@p03saucez8 жыл бұрын
+Ak Operators Union, Local 47-74 Ya the "two-stage" Arsenal FCG is not actually "two-stage". The ledge just simulates it. I agree with you that, once polished, it's actually a pretty decent trigger like you said. Not great but decent. As stated before, there's a large group of folks on AKFiles who love it. I'm not one of them. The answer to every AK trigger question or debate is simple: ALG AKT.
@AkOperatorsUnion8 жыл бұрын
• P03SAUCEZ • agreed in 100%. ALG kicks ass. Painfully consistent and price is great.
