Now street league hear me out, if every stop was this format. Where there is a select series each stop and a knock round and a final round I would watch each show from beginning to end. This is a really cool format that gives under dogs a chance to get through out the year instead of having under-dogs only get one chance at the beginning of the season. This is far more interesting and engaging

I feel like they should be able to use 2 of the run scores!!! Its a small change but would make a BIG difference IMO! For one it would take out the no motivation 2nd runs after somebody gets a 9 on their first run! It also rewards good skating and I think everyone will agree that a 9 in the Lines Section is much harder to get than in the Single Trick Section! THE BEST thing this would do is that if you had like a 9 and a 7.5 in the lines then it would really free you up to try some crazy (hard) tricks in the Single Tricks Section!!! I wish there was some way to be able to do this but also be able to keep it the way it is now where u also don't have to use a Line Score!!! I just remember back in the day in the OG SLS Contest the Format was so close to being perfect and you cld 100% tell someone put alot of thought into the Format and that it was made like that to enable the best skating and contest possible, as opposed to the new changes which I feel like where made to fit the event in a time frame or fit the TV Schedule if that makes sense!

Im starting to get pretty annoyed at how they do the knockout rounds. I get that advancing the top score from each round makes for good competition/entertainment, essentially making each heat its own mini contest, but it makes for unfair and lacklustre finals. I’d rather see a finals with the top overall scores as opposed to the top scores from each heat. Like you could have the second or third highest score of the whole day and still not make finals … the finals should be an accurate representation of the best competitors.

Why competitioners still seem to have no replacement board? I mean is it so uncommon that boards break or are they so heavy or so expensive for these skaters? Ok I am exaggerating! Still I wondering why after a boardbreak they often have no replacement in the bag? It is a question I ask myself. Im glad it that Deshawn Jordan was more than able to ride with someone Shanes board and that he was so friendly and fair to his board.
@justinmusicandskateboardin928211 ай бұрын
The trucks mainly. Having the trucks broken in just right in terms of both how turning and scooping tre-flips feel, and how the grooves have been broken in on the actual grinding part of the axle. I'm sure basically all of them do have an entire other complete setup ready to go, they just don't put it together because they would rather just put a new deck onto their old trucks if their deck does break, which is overwhelmingly more likely to happen than having a truck or wheel issue
@blackmoondragoon486211 ай бұрын
@@justinmusicandskateboardin9282 Justin Thank you for answrering. I think I understand what you say about the grinding part, the axle itself this makes a lot of sense to me,. But I don´t mean the moment a truck breaks, this happens happens less often than a deck. I mean what you describe as "they would rather just put a new deck onto..." I can give an example: In this episode Dashawn Jordans board broke. The Nose was off. But instead of putting a new own deck on his trucks he seems to have used Shane O`neills Skateboard. Or maybe he put his own trucks on Shanes deck. Eitherway he didn´t use or had an own replacement deck. This is what I mean and here lies my original question. I am sorry if I explained my self not so well. And its not only Dashawns case of boardbrake, actually everytime I can remember a board breaking SLS its like a search and ask adventure, "please who can lend me a board quickly". Instead of pulling a new deck out of the bag and screwing the old trucks off and on. I Do understand that Skateboarding is not Nascar or Formular 1 where you have a complete team of "tire changers" but to have a replacement deck with you, to change the trucks, If youre used to it, shouldnt take many minutes.
