I was a bit angry with Mushroom's death. I heard her scratching at the door but I walked into the room with Daniel first thinking "Yeah I know how animals are. I'm not letting Mushroom out unless someone goes with her" but NOOOOOOOOO Daniel just HAD to let her out. Love the game but I will always remember that part. RIP Mushroom.

Every bad situation they get into happens because Daniel doesn't fucking listen.

The game is about protecting your brother and spending more time with him also teaching him so if you let the puma die the power develops over emotion so therefore at the end of episode 5 his power will be super powerful, chaos, uncontrollable and daniel will think that he can do what he wants without listening to you but its better to not make him use his power alot like intervene with the puma, etc. I think you know what i mean. So at the end of Episode 5 Daniel can finally control his power his full power without having to go to chaos mode uncontrollably.

I know people are mad about killing the cougar but in my mind it was an act of self defense. That cougar could've killed them. They're lucky the stick worked. I wouldn't take my chances with a wild animal.

The cougar had already a prey, it doesn't has a reason for attack. Besides, David could use his power then.

That was my first thought, too, and why I chose kill the cougar as my initial game choice. Doing so does not give Daniel low morality. You can still get good outcomes with Daniel even if you kill the cougar. Low morality comes if you continue to either ignore him or let him do what he wants with his power. i.e. not be a great big brother.

@Zackary 2016 i am not really sure of all the details that are needed to make Daniel disobey you. i would say letting him use his powers such as when you help the grandparents. He disobeyed me, too. as for episode 3, i think if you ignore him and give a lot of attention to Cassidy, he will do that to her. It sounds like you may have let him use his powers more rather than discourage him.

So as much as i believe stopping daniel is the "correct" choice. "Don't intervene" feels more right. It broke my heart watching the cougar pick at and carry off the poor pup and then they didn't get to bury her or say goidbye properly. I liked it a little better when i didn't have to watch mushroom be carried off to be eaten. It was sad watching them pick her up after and pet her but at least there was more closure. Idk... The whole situation is fucked up no matter what.

I honestly feel like this choice will have repercussions later. If you don't intervene, you see Daniel didn't even meant to kill it. He just seen what his power can really do and now he might be scared of it. Maybe this choice might be one of the triggers to the ending where Chris gets ran over? Who knows what else it might cause Daniel to do (or not do) in the future?

True. It's not the cougars fault and I didn't blame the cat one bit. My choice to not intervene was considered because I felt the cougar could have hurt them, too. If it's hungry enough, you never know if just trying to shoo it away with a stick would be a good choice. However, I didn't expect Daniel to break the cougars neck. At most, I was expecting him to throw the cougar back into the forest.

So far this episode got me 3 times. SPOILERS AHEAD for those who didn't played it yet: 1. Mushroom's Death 2. Sean & Daniel making it to their grandparents alive, after over a month on road. The look Sean gave after talking to Claire around the environment.. This freaking broke me as it almost looked like he almost forgot what a normal looking home looks like. 3. Sean talking with Lyla through the phone.. Jesus Lyla sounded so devastated. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I skipped on doing that call, even if consequences will be met later on. Now one more thing: This teaser of episode 3 gave me some sort of dark vibes. Yes they met Cassidy again most likely, judging from the voice of the women she speaks to. Hell, it could even be Karen herself. But then this scene alone and this place.. It gave me unnerving feeling, almost disturbing-like, like the dialogue is before and the teaser takes place afterwards, and Sean & Daniel will end up in being trapped or something like that. Maybe Im just overthinking it :/

@@vexcarius7100 I did read them already, before I started playing the game. I did pretty quick though, since I figured there are hints in trophy/achievements names already. Did it that way, cause I want to be left in surprise. The only one I remembered however was "She Wolf".

@@indigomoonlite222 Yeah you can call her in EP 2. At one point, when you wake up in game and grandparents are not home, Sean will mention about using the laptop. After you use it, you can call Lyla. The telephone is located in the corner of one room, theres a fish tank, and theres a corner where you can draw Daniel and Claire. Basically, she sits right next to the phone.

From what I've seen they didn't have to do much in order to take care of her. They have water from the River so they can Hydrate her and rest overs from the Plates they ate. Plus Daniel couldn't stand eating Radioli so that's a plus.

Question: What determines whether Daniel tells the truth or lies about telling Chris the truth? He told the truth during my first playthrough, and then I played it again with very minimal changes (just decided I wanted to check Brody's blog and tell the grandfather about Daniel's powers), but when Sean asked Daniel to tell Chris the truth, he ended up lying and Chris got hit by the car. Is Daniel lying/honesty just an RNG? I can't see anything that I did that would influence him to lie.
