Please read the road test on ScooterLab: scooterlab.uk/...
The first full road test and feature on Casa Performance's new 76bhp twin cylinder, liquid-cooled Lambretta. It's a scooter that wheelies in all five gears and needs some taming before the general public gets their hands on one.

That small tyres, narrow roads, unpredictable brake, so much power from the engine, perfect last ride.

@@nickcoppard5335 I was 15, and year away from getting a bike license. For some reason I had painted a big LD on the front of the scooter with the L on one side and the D on the other. When the cop overtook me he saw the red L and thought it was a learners L-plate and because he hadn't seen one on the back, he stopped me. He was not a dick about it, but he did make me push the bike home which was five miles away, and the first bit was up a steep hill. That turned out to be too hard, so I jumped on and rode it home as fast as I could using back roads where possible.

You Guys will not have heard of me, but you will know of my Work. I am now 71 Years old, and way back in 1965 I was the originator of the Lambretta 'Strip down' Scooter design, that you lot call a 'Skeleton'. They were going for £15 a time then (TWO weeks Apprentice Wages), so I had no problem chopping them down on the Steering column, removing the body shroud, fitting a single seat, tiny tank and making what you now call the "Kneeler". I got bored with having my Scooters stolen, so swapped the first one for a genuine British Royal Enfield Bullet with a Glasgow Gallowgate bike dealer who was so pleased with the novelty of it, he started making them calling them "Lamb Chops". Just a little Scooter History that you would not know of. Its good to see you Folk keeping the Faith. Finally. Death to ALL Vespas !!! . .

The vicious, pull-your-arms-off power band of a 2T Honda CR500 transferred to a Lambretta isn't going to suit many. So, how about developing a lower revving exhaust system that gives far less top end but a much more linear delivery of power and torque? How about 45 BHP (more than enough for most!) but with tractability that even my missus could handle? This would be a similar concept to fitting a box exhaust rather than an expansion pipe on a "standard" tuned Lambretta engine. Exhausts designed for less volatile power delivery could also be more compact and might therefore resolve the obvious "packaging" issues of having two tin whales hanging under the motor. Like a box exhaust, they could be shaped to precisely conform to the shape of the engine.

This Lambretta must be a blast, auto 2T were getting wicked fast many years back, like PMTuning's Italjet they held records with, If this had a inner rotor ignition setup and 35mm carbs it'd be wild, dare i say un-ridable even more so with wheelies
