@johnstamper715 I race in Group 4e has to be a bolt on off the shelf kit with only matching the transfers and exhaust port tuning. It’s 144cc just under the limit of 145cc for smallframe Vespas. It’s pushing out 28bhp and tops out just over 85mph on most circuits. Gearbox runs a short 4th gear and 27/69 primaries. In real world speeds I know that’s not fast but it’s still a lot of fun and as soon as all my injuries heal up after a fast off at Pembrey I’ll be back on board looking to go faster again at either Anglesey or Cadwell depending on when I’m good to go

As a Hayabusa owner 130mph sounds like somewhere around 2nd gear or a nice cruising speed where roads allow. As a Grom owner (and with a bit of scooter experience) 130mph on wheels that small sounds bloomin terrifying. With a "frame" that wobbly aswell the term "s0d that" comes to mind. Best of luck to the loony. Sounds like a man after my own heart.

@@999lazer There's a thin line between brave and daft. I'm not sure which side he's on or if he's just balancing somewhere in the middle. I've done 80mph on one of those things and its far more frightening than the busa at 190+.

hayabusa factory stats show only 100mph for 2nd gear. You need to max out 3rd to get an actual 130mph.
@siraff44613 ай бұрын
@@enochthewitness-2023 Its about 105mph on the limiter but forgive me a little artistic license. Thats factory too. Mine is up a tooth on the front for "reasons" ;) so it will do a bit more. Not 130 mind but it really makes no difference.

Great content as always Max! I used to have a RD350LC and I worked with a bloke who had a vespa, he used to say that you can tune vespa scooters to blow away a RD350LC! I laughed at him and used to think he was crazy, but now I know different! Well done Ade 🤩

My tuned 70cc Yamaha Aerox did 140 km/h (~87 mph) and it was manageable in itself, but the thought of seizing the engine and locking the rear wheel at that speed (it has a CVT) was terrifying enough for me to not try it again.

I built an Airsal t6 70cc yamaha vino. I hat to switch to the telescopic forks first for stability. The engine had an Airsal t6 kit with a carb, a variator, and upgear kit. And the Leo Vinci touring Pipe for torque. And it pulled strong from the start to 90mph.
