There’s a mistake on the specs, regarding MAX WEIGHT The website says the bike weight is 190kg and max weight (with driver/passenger) is 285kg…which is ridiculous, no? I have enquired them and in reality max weight is set at 365kg (bike + driver + passenger) They will amend the website.

At $16,000 one could purchase a Casa Performance twin for their Lambretta and have more power and a lot more fun or purchase a turn key Lambretta with a high performance engine ready to ride. But of course this isn't aimed at lovers of classic, iconic scooters. Will it sell in large numbers? In the USA Honda Groms are extremely popular at $3500, a new Yamaha R6 at $12,696 or an R1 at $17,999 and many litre class motorcycles priced in the $13,000 range it begs the question, who is the target market?

@@Lambrettist A Scooterist friend put his deposit down on number 65 today so they’re selling. He’s also owned a Casa 265 amongst other toys.

@@ScooterLabUK Will have to wait and see if it sells in large numbers in the USA. Who knows, maybe it will. My only memory of riding an Italjet was a Dragster 180 I spent a summer riding in Ireland and having it fall to bits after less than 1,000 miles.
