Exactly! Kieth initiated it by reaching out with the sole intent to screw Harley over with a false "friendship". Keith is a liar and a fraud and his arrogance has convinced himself that he is far smarter than he really is. Real men who see through his bull crap won't put up with the bullying, the threats, the loud mouthed, blowhard antics of the "walrus". There are times when we've seen those men expose him for what he is. Men like Harley, Wild Bill, and of course, that epic moment when Johnathan Hillstrand put his lard butt flat on the ground and was VERY ready to finish it if walrus was actually stupid enough to step back up at him. ....but you see he didn't. He changed his tune real quick, kept his distance, and he sure as slug snot didn't get up in his face yelling again! I keep hoping that Monte will finally grow up/out from under the shadow of the "big brother" figure that Keith has lorded over him all his life. He has bullied, manipulated, abused authority and just flat out overpowered him by yelling and pitching a fit like a 4 year old fat walrus until Monte caves and takes it. Monte is far more of a man than Keith will ever be, and has far more potential as a captain than Keith has ever been. Monte just doesn't realize it because the big walrus has bellered and blower loud enough all those years to suppress him.

And even the current season 15 when he is talking about Harley.... First he says the "got into a fight" with Harley. Then he says "they had to pull us off each other" or " pull me off of him" or some other nonsense. Then later he slips up and says it "almost went to blows". Moron! If it "almost went to blows" then HELLOOOO!!! That means there were no blows thrown! That certainly is NOT a "FIGHT" that required multiple people pulling him off of the guy. The moment ol walrus first said that first line about how he "got into a fight" with Harley, my wife and I both looked at each other and said "yeah right! I'd like to hear the TRUTH about that story". It was so obvious that he was "talking big," embellishing the story to make it seem like he's some kind of rough and tumble fighter who came to blows with the guy. Numbnuts is too dang dumb to even remember his own lies.

As regular deadliest catch viewer, I love deadliest catch. I find it hard to " forgive" keith, for day that he send his crew members up on top of the pots to put on the carpet for the ice, and wind blowing strong. All he did then when he saw them injured, was scream at monte, before he even asked was he ok, he was screaming at him first before he give him chance to sit down or anything. Was too much And what is with Keith asking his eleven year old daughter for motivation to quit chewing tobacco, That was odd, Seemed odd, putting that on the child, Having a child should be your motivation to be well, not asking the child for motivation, just was odd, bit uncomfortable.

Technically pulling a pot which is not registered to you is illegal for two reasons. First, the person to whom the pot is registered must be present when the pot is pulled. In this case, the pot was registered to Keith so he had to be present when Harley pulled the pot - he wasn't, so there's strike one. There is also a provision which states that it is illegal to 'interfere with or disturb' commercial fishing gear not registered to you, strike two. Third strike, as my friend Jonathan would say, 'it's just bad juju'. In the dark ages before data streaming, cell phones and the like, I had to take over a boat for our skipper who had taken ill. We had to wait four days in Dutch for ADF&G to release the permit to me so we could continue to fish. Not a terribly big deal at the time as planes were not landing with our new deckhand and back then we only worked a three man deck.

Both of them have a quota to fill. If they find a hotspot and alert everyone to it, it gets sucked dry fast and they have to move on and find somewhere else. It's like finding a gold vein. If you don't tell anyone, you can get rich. If you do tell everyone, everyone flocks there and takes it all, leaving you with far less gold to your name. It's just not in one's self interest. Now if you've had your fill of the gold, or in the show's case crab, and don't need or want anymore of it, then there's no problem with letting a guy onto it to take what he can get and spread the love a bit.
