This is a beautiful bait for sure. I've probably watched this video 4 or 5 times throughout this year. I'm hoping one day I'll be comfortable shelling out the money for these works of art. Have you considered doing a follow up in water review for this bait? That would be great to see. I'm sure our Jersey bass would love to smash that thing.

Old school table top first impression video, very cool. I say, as a fellow NJ angler, sidelined because of old man winter, I would appreciate more of your table top reviews along with a follow up video in the future, when you can run the bait (as you have done with other baits). As for the bait, I agree with the finish... it's more realistic with that rough finish. *** Side note: as a knife collector and maker, always appreciate when I see somone using a quality knife! Nice Spyderco.

Hey Karl thanks for the info on sly guy lures, I was not aware of his brand. The details in his paint work are amazing and I would love to buy one of his bluegill lures! If sly has a website adding his link would be great also love the star wars effects. In regards to doing lure reviews without on the water footage I would say do it as you can always do a follow-up video afterwards. I look forward to your videos and it would help make winter a little more bearable while I wait for spring.

Hey Victor - the manufacturer has stated he has been working on a website, but for the time being the best way to stay on top of his offerings are through Instagram. Thanks for the input regarding tabletop videos....I will be putting more up.

Table tops serve a valuable purpose, so go right ahead. The trout seems like a solid bait, perfect for those stockings Jersey loves to waste money on. I know of a special place on the Delaware where that bait would get chewed. Like to see a review on the Replica Gill. A good gliding gill is hard to come by, and from what I've seen, his is one of the best. Wishing you Happy New Year, and to the end of hard water soon!

That is a beauty and looks better than the real thing. When they cast from a real fish that means they make the mold from a fish.

after seeing this review of Clayton Sly's Replica Trout I searched him down ... He still doesn't have a web site and is just on Facebook getting hammered on orders for this trout and his gill baits ...Unbelievable talent ...I didn't think I would ever spend 100 bucks on any bait ... but his baits are worth whatever he is charging for them...There is video footage on this bait out there now ...I've seen the slow glide retrieve and it was burned near the surface....What Mr Sly is producing is not good or great ... they are perfection!

What pound test/brand of fluorocarbon would u recommend for an s waver 168
@KeepinItReelFishing7 жыл бұрын
I don't fish the 168 too much, but when I do I have it on 15-17lb test. Also, I'm not a huge fluro guy and so I haven't used that many. But, Seaguar AbrazX has been as good as I can ask for. (Its also what Butch Brown uses....so, the way I see it if THE man chooses that one then its def good for me).

Great stuff as usual bro. That perch was absolutely beautiful and spot on. This was a great unboxing for guys wanting to get into crafted glide baits. You might have said in the video but I didn’t catch it, how much was the trout glide? I would definitely like to take a look at those.

I forgot to man. They are $100 shipped. The manufacturer has stated he plans to fire up a website soon, but for the time being Instagram is the way to go for more info and ordering.

@alexdeneau58667 жыл бұрын
Very good video. How much does this lure cost? What would you throw it on?
@KeepinItReelFishing7 жыл бұрын
About $100. A heavy or XH swimbait rod. Personally on all my large swimbaits that use treble hooks I like a very parabolic rod (like a big crankbait stick) and mono. These are big heavy lures and I'm all about having a system with a lot of flex in it to keep those trebles from ripping out. Specifically I use an 8'0" XH Low Down Customs White label rod, rated for 3-8oz. Its very unique in that it has a slow taper (lots of flex), but still handles these really large and heavy swimbaits with ease.

Is it me or is this a copy cat of Big Game Customs lure? Or who copied who. Both the trout and the gill look like BGC baits.
