I had the album Loose Booty. It was Sly's best. I love Sly and the family stone. I remember Mike Douglass. Oh those good ole days. When people loved people.

There not only giants, they are giants in the presence of the greatest musician of the 70's (ok maybe also the highest, wtf .. ) ... his music is the best to be heard in the 70's ... an absolute genius in his genre ... Sly your music is a never ending inspiration ... btw a great version of " Loose Booty " ...

mike douglas, once a singer and band leader in the 40's and 50's, always tried to present then current music to a daytime audience. scared the hell out of the suburban housewives......
@SusanDoran6 жыл бұрын
No it didn't. They just rolled their eyes or got another glass of lemonade while the "kids music' was on. Things "scaring the hell out of' people is more a 21stC thing. People didn't get "scared' by much--and while they might not like something they didn't get bent out of shape by it, as almost everyone seems to be these days. "Outrage" "scared" 'offended"every single day. People were not not nearly as hypersensitive or neurotic then.

Susan Doran this is so accurate! I'm 22 and the fact that you described this present society to a T is comforting. I wish people could be more loose

Sly dresses up but at no time does he try to dress down Mr. Douglas.He recognizes they come from two almost-completely different places and accepts Mike for what he is.Mike likewise,acts accordingly(i.e.,civil) Today in this BENIGHTED,UNCIVIL,HOSTILE-to-the-max, Age ,Television like this between such contrasting personalities meshed so civilly Simply wouldn't happen.
