Race can play itself out differently in different parts of the country based on the racial makeup/situation of different regions. Them being from the Bay Area I wonder how their area compared to L.A back then since the Watts riots happened down there?

Special memories of Sly when he was a DJ my school friends and me and my sister all went to the radio station it was the best part of my childhood Sly even had us record jingles and we even started a fan club for him he was quite a popular DJ back than and I was one lucky little girl to have him in my life my sister Linda too he was one the last conversations she talk about before she passed we both always remember him by the music we grew up with I still love soul music…….
