Sly and the family Stone was one of the 1st integrated band group which began in the 1960's during the unrest through out the country,civil Right's movement,dr.king,Malcolm x,and others plus John f.Kennedy and Robert kennedy,plus many other civil rights assassination plus protests of Vietnam war,riots and lives lost on colleges campuses.Those were traumatic times in our country and music artists like sly and many others brought us all together through their music of love and peace.

Sly's got some serious "coke throat" happening here but the music still comes through. That funk breakout at 2:30 is infectious. Is SatFS the most sampled band ever along with James Brown and Pairlament. Funny to me how the younger crowds KNOW all this music but don't realize HOW they know it.
