If it weren’t for the extreme heat and humidity, Nicaragua would be awesome. I know that there are some cooler locations but Granada, Leon and San Juan de Sur are all hot as well as Managua. It is a nice country except for the heat. For this of you who can tolerate the heat then go and enjoy . Nice video as always Sly.
@onlyoneamong30021 күн бұрын
Well, you've gotta remember that at lower latitudes the weather depends on altitude! That is, if you live at lower altitude, the weather will be hotter! But if you live at higher altitude, the weather will be cooler, even in summer! That said, Western and Eastern Nicaragua are located at lower altitude, thus are hotter, like Florida where you can't live without central AC. However, unlike Florida being flat, Nicaragua is a mountainous country with a varied topography! So, the weather there depends on altitude, the time of the year, and on cool breezes blowing down from the mountains, volcanoes, and lakes! However, North Central Nicaragua is highly mountainous, so the weather is cool year around. Thus, if you don't like the heat, you can stay in North Central Nicaragua in cities at altitudes above 700 m (2300 ft) like Matagalpa, Jinotega, San Rafael del Norte, Estelí, Somoto or Ocotal! But, the best place to stay in Nicaragua, where the weather is fall like year round and close to everything is El Crucero, in the Sierras South of Managua and above 800 m (2600)! From El Crucero you can check out Managua and the Pacific Ocean from above the Sierras! But you can also reach Managua, Granada, León, the volcanoes, and the Pacific beaches pretty easily through excellent highways! So, don't assume that Central American countries are hot ovens! Otherwise, none would visit Tikal, Antigua, Granada, San Juan del Sur, Panamá City!

Really cool that you are featuring Managua. I was just down there are spent most of my time in Leon, some in Granada. Went through Managua a few times and also of course coming into and leaving the country. Seemed like there was, contrary to what everyone says, a lot there to check out. Not sure about getting around there without a car? Seems like you managed it okay. Also had what looked like some pockets of rough areas. Not too worried about it in general, but Managua looked like there were some areas you definitely didn't want to be wandering around at night, probably not even during the day. Not sure what your experience was with that? I am inclined to check it out though since I've always lived in bigger cities, and both Leon an Granada were surprisingly small, I guess mid size. Also, have to say that I thought the food was really good. So many interesting things to eat everywhere you went. Not sure why, before I went, I heard so many people saying the food wasn't good. Thanks for sharing!

Nicarágua is a western country. The West is Western Europe and the countries it’s four Atlantic empires - Spain, Portugal, Britain, France - created in the “new world” that all speak Western European languages and follow Western European religions, etc - so basically the Americas plus Australia/NZ. Think of the food that he ate - rice, plantains and a corn stew. The most western meal imaginable - rice and bananas introduced into the Americas by Western Europeans (the Spanish in this case) and corn, an indigenous American food, all mixed together to form a typical meal of the Americas. A cross of Western Europe and “New World”.

- Maybe people do not know about your channel. I just subscribed to it because I travel to Nicaragua often and like to learn about it. I have never been to the Atlantic coast, I stay up and down the Pacific coast and remain mainly in Managua. There may be a few reasons why people do not watch your videos. I checked out about five of your videos and noticed a few things. - Sometimes you put your camera too close to your face when you're eating and people can see the food inside your mouth. No one likes to see that. - I speak both English and Spanish but had a hard time understanding your English accent. - Sometimes you're speaking in Spanish and mix it with English words, or vise versa, and if your viewers are not English and Spanish bilingual, they won't fully understand what you are saying. - You do not enunciate when you speak English, you often mumble a lot when you talk and that makes it even harder to understand you. Open your mouth, enunciate. - By speaking the way you do, and using local, Nicaraguan Atlantic coast English slang, you limit your audience to just local people in your area who can understand you. - Again, I only watched about five of your videos, so, there may be other reasons why people do not watch your videos. Just improve your content.
