Living cost low but an nice appartment cost high. From 80 thaousand dollars to 400. Good restaurant sandwish 3 dollars

Food is very affordable, safety is a bit questionable in some areas especially at night. Health Care system is free but if you want top quality, you need to pay. Jobs for English speakers are not scarce given the country is slowing abandoning French.

You're right. That area where he was wandering is part of it's called "le triangle d'Or" (The Golden Triangle Area or Zone) in Casablanca. It's very expensive. It's for the upper middle class and rich people.
