Morocco is a great African country. I always feel at home in Morocco. I'm from Guinea West Africa, there is a great history and strong brotherhood between Morocco and west Africa. My mother passed away in Morocco last February, doctors did everything to help her but her time was up. Forever 💕 love Morocco.

There is no reason for you to be afraid to be out and about in Morocco by yourself. Ten years ago, at the age of 60, I a single black woman, travelled all over the country without any concern for my safety. Where as when ever I have travelled to places in the US I have often felt less safe. My most memorable experience was riding a camel in the Sahara Desert to see the sun set. I hoped you enjoyed your time in Morocco, it’s a beautiful country and the people are very hospitable.

This hospitality and trust carrys over when Moroccans live stateside. For example, my wife and I went wine tasting in California where we met a wonderful Moroccan couple. The tastings kept flowing and at some point I stated "I'm famished so do you folks want to go eat." They obliged and when the bill arrived I took care of it. Now this is when it gets interesting. They overhead my wife and I discuss that we had to find accommodations as we were not planning to stay so late. They politely insisted that we stay at their house. We agreed and the next day woke up to an amazing Moroccan breakfast and wonderful conversation. Just a wild amount of trust from both parties as it should be, in that, we had never met before. Upon leaving we exchanged information and they invited us to stay their families estate if we ever decided to travel to Morocco. Such a warm and inviting culture.

I was treated with the utmost hospitality and kindness!!!!!!!! I will live there one day. The bigger cities like Casablanca , Marrakesh have more crime in general but overall the Moroccan people are African muslim and have a good attitude.
@Ssookawai
@Ssookawai Жыл бұрын
In Marrakesh, you might get hussled in touristic places, even us moroccans are careful but the city is overall one of the safest in our countries, lots of police wearing civilian clothes are watching over different places, so don't worry. For other cities like Casablanca, just keep the basic rules of safety: keep your bag on the shoulder that's not on the road's side, do go to some specific neighbourhoods alone and if you need to go there, make sure to go with someone FROM that neighourhood, avoid small and far away alleys from the main boulevards unless you know they're safe and avoid going alone at night, unless it's summer in coastal cities like Tangiers, it's safe because the streets are filled with people even after midnight. Also don't flash expensive jewelries and if you have a chain, it should be kept under your shirt, if you're a woman, avoid expensive showcase of jewelry and designer bags, they know they're legit when it's a foreigner wearing them (we usually have counterfeit ones lol).

Casablanca is modern city and we moroccans go there just for business. The peoples in Casablanca are real Morocco just like the peoples in Fez, Marrakech are the real peoples. Fez and Marrakesh like others imperial cities in the country they don't represent luxury for us, they represent our history the birth place of our nation and its our ancients imperial cities and ancients capitals, our whole history, culture. Fez is our spiritual capital nowadays and our capital during Morocco golden age, so to discover Morocco culture, history ancient cities are must do.

Awesome video, i like the positive attitude, and glad you enjoyed your stay in Morocco. That positive with no entitlement attitude is pretty much what makes a difference from having an overall positive experience vs Negative, you were respectful everywhere you have been and people reciprocated as a result, at least for the most part. As a moroccan, obviously not everything is bright in this country, but overall one must a keep an open mind and be grateful no matter what and not let negative people ruin your vibe. Thanks for coming, you're welcome to come back anytime, maybe next time, let it be known that you're coming over, i'm sure a lot of followers at this point will be happy to show you around and/or have a drink.

Oh man I love your videos in Morocco!! I just got back from a 2,5 month holiday. I am from Moroccan descent and I live in Europe and some people here also think it's unsafe or that it's all sand and camels. It's a pleasure to see a non-Moroccan show that! As for the way you are treated as a black man in Morocco I can only say we are not unfamiliar with black people because Moroccans come in many many shades, also black. And don't feel afraid in Morocco. Cops in Morocco very very very rarely use guns, yet everyone is afraid of them 😉 and Morocco has many cops!

I hear so many sick stories about Moroccans and Morocco. I am Moroccan myself. First of all, if you have respect, you get it back 1000 times more. We are hospitable, absolutely not stingy, intelligent people, beautiful culture, sociability, funny, creative and much more good.. the only thing is, don't make us angry then you have to run away fast. And what you mention in your video that you have to watch out for your pockets and don't dare to walk any further, otherwise you're afraid of being robbed. Sure! That is everywhere, even in America, in the Netherlands, Spain, Brazil everywhere you have to look out on this earth. They don't say for nothing; "Take a Jew for granted, and a white man for a thief". And with this young man, Morocco has the most beautiful and richest history in the whole world! The Reefs won the war without weapons but by logic and strategy. Damn! how proud I am of where I come from! Real warrior mentality. We don't need your pennies, we'll make them ourselves with our smart head.

everyone is welcome in Morocco, Casablanca is a metropolitan city where u can find all kind of nationalities living there. the city has a lot to offer for tourists too even if it's not considered much a tourist destination like Marrakech, Tangier, Tetouan, Agadir, Fès, etc.. The economical capital of Morocco that doesn't sleep, a city where you can find all kind of attractions and places to visit. and the nightlife in Casa, u can find all kinds of restaurants and nightclubs. one thing about Casablanca is that some "poor" areas are located in the center of the city next to the "middle-class" areas not like we often see in some cities around the world where the poor are often in the outside areas of the city. there's also the "upper-class areas" of Casablanca that you can visit but there isn't much to experience there if you don't live or work there.
