No announcement yet on the opening. They are cleaning the first level now, so maybe that means a soft opening is soon. They have missed several estimates, so all we can do now is just wait. I have never been so curious to see a new hotel.

Something that has always confused me about the Philippines . Who actually shops in these malls ? Everything is expensive even by western standards .

Very exciting to have yet another mall in Olongapo! I'm curious, John. You mentioned that there is jeepney service from that location (near Victory Liner) to the Ayala Mall. What about to Barretto? To go from the new mall (or Victory Liner), do you need to take a trike or is there jeepney service to Barretto as well? Much thanks!

You can take a jeepney from Victory Liner to Barretto by getting on a blue jeepney (12p) on a side street next to the bus station or you can take a trike from the same location (200p)

Yeah, I usually take the Victory from AC to Olongapo and then take the 200p trike but wasn't sure if I was being scammed a bit at the 200p (still pretty cheap though). A jeepney would be cheaper. That's probably why the trike drivers immediately attack me even before getting off the bus! HAHA 😂 I wonder if the jeepney drivers get upset if I'm carrying some luggage though? Hmm.

@@bobquinn4968 I would not use a jeepney with very much luggage. It is possible, but not fun on a full jeep. The trikes are worth the extra money when you have luggage or bought a lot of things at the malls.

Another mall huh? Here in the states we can't even keep one open....the one nearest my house is slowly closing and waiting for Sears to move out just a few stores open but you know we don't have all those open street and sidewalk stalls here like in the Philippines selling all that cheap chinese crap.....I just go to the Dollar Tree we have plenty of them and Walmart......lol Oh yea glad to see you back making videos I was wondering the other day why I hadn't seen you around. Been watching some of Peter's videos around Subic......cheers :)
