The promotion algorithm is partly based on regular upload frequency, among many other things. YT stops suggesting a channel to new viewers if new vids are sporadic or far between on a channel so it's almost impossible to get the numbers up in such a case. I'm sure he could easily break 100k, and steadily upward, after more frequent movie rants getting uploaded. Of course, that's pretty time-consuming to do so it's not a simple cakewalk either.
