For a second I thought it was a fanmade boss till I saw that it was actually confirmed by Glowstick Entertainment. As for what it is, I’m leaning towards the old Doug Houser and a representation of the current Doug trying to put his evil ways behind him. The fact that it is a sketon head, and it’s shape looks like a skeleton that is slowly deteriorating overtime, it makes me think of Doug Houser.

I’ve had a theory for awhile that I think this teaser image confirms. If y’all take a look at the back of Malak’s neck, you’ll see that there are clearly cracks on the cut-off between his head and his neck. He’s wearing a mask. And _this_ is what he looks like beneath it. Tbh, I’ve had this theory for awhile. I knew that whatever was beneath his mask must look grotesque, but holy shit, I was not expecting this. Like… the guy has what looks like fucking FACE-HUGGERS! Either that or he has nonexistent cheeks. One of the two.

From what I can tell from this image, it's more like agony and stress tearing it self apart, ripping it's flesh layer by layer in a way which is not just creepy or scary but sardonic. But I can wait until Chapter 5 =D

My theories are that this monstrosity could be malak's final form or a completely new monster (not a boss). Funny story, when I saw this teaser for the first time, I thought it looked alot like a mummy. So I called it a bloody/gore mummy 😂😂😂

Here's the thing with Glowstick or any game dev in that matter, that's what they WANT us to think that this is Malak's final form. Poppy Playtime for example, we thought Poppy saying 'Mommy doesnt like guests', we thought Mommy was going to be Kissy. And it wasnt. This thing could be a whole new creature, I think it's going to be something we never expected.

I recall the devs saying that the final boss wasn't Malak or Bierce. However, they never said that It couldn't be both. Like, what if Doug screwed up to the point where Malak fuses with Bierce and they mutate into..... That.

Good Theory! I think maybe how it will happen is that Doug would toy around a bit *too* much with the Riddle of Heaven as he would probably be driven to a point where he is exhausted of Bierce and Malak's Beef with each other and would try to get a new life himself, but this would go horribly wrong and unintended, as it would *accidently* turn Bierce and Malak, into, what you describe. "That.", Mutated, Fused, and Exactly what you said. Unless, that's not what you're talking about, because I believe what you meant there was that Malak and Bierce fuse on purpose or Malak forces bierce to fuse with him or something, I could be entirely wrong tho.

What if this could be E? What’s the possibility that E wouldn’t be used in a fight or seen in an interaction? E is the only character that is known very little about and yet knows all about the portal monsters. It would make sense to have a character who we as the players of this game trust to inform us about the monsters in their own pockets of hell, betray us at the end with their extensive knowledge on not only the monsters you’ve seen and fought, but also would know more about Doug than is realized. That would be the “deception” that this game so clearly makes known on its title. Also, we don’t know what happened to E, we know they were working for Beirce but are unaware if they were killed or something else happened. It’s definitely a long shot, but I still think it could be E.

Mama Bear is made of the souls of abusive narcissistic mothers, so it would make sense if it would correlate to E, but I think E will still be prominent in the next two chapters so E wouldn’t be Mama Bear. I don’t know too much about E as much you, but you have a keen eye.

@@ignation_station that is true, although given it is likely E is dead according to Bierce, her soul likely became mama bear at least, because when Doug was taken to the chapter with the cabin he said in the cutscene 'Anywhere but here'.

@@talujahayes1687 Did some research and you’re right. I didn’t realize that E was Elise Houser and a couple of points in my theory does have flaws, but Vince stated in his Q&A #17 that Elise would play a role for Chapter 5. Her death was classified as a vehicle crash, however the car caught on fire before it sunk in the water, so the face that is present in that tweet could very well be Elise’s burns from the accident carried into her demon form. We saw Tammy become aggressive in the cutscene in Chapter 4. Whose to say we won’t see what Elise can do when she’s angry enough? Also, Doug could have reacted to the cabin the way he did because of Mama Bear’s presence, since Doug could have bad blood with his parents and the presence could have reminded him of that.

Perhaps this particular creature are what's the The mannequin's are made of, After all makes sense, a whole bunch of torsos Covered in a layer of hard Plastic Their heads and limbs replaced by points. Vince Livings only shown the red mannequins. There will be normal mannequins which means that there will be different types of mannequins this could be one of them. Think about it animatronic mannequins, metal mannequins, plastic mannequins, monster mannequins, flesh mannequins. Malak Could be saving one of these scariest mannequins in the basement of a mall and that could be the very face of what it would look like Not to mention there are also possible mannequins Some of them are so humanoid that they would even have bendable fingers like feelers but at the same time this monster could be blind Considering it has no eyes But at the same time it is just a teaser and nobody knows exactly who it is? Or what it is? or if it's the boss? is it a character? nobody knows but what is known or what is possible this thing that we are looking at could be a mirrored reflection to all the monsters combined just like with the gold watchers human bodies in case and gold This could be another way that Doug Houser would look himself in the reflection There are different illnesses. Doug Houser could be looking through a mirror and that face could be staring back at him. But considering it looks like there are bandages it could be a burn victim. Just like with Agatha, this could be another soul corrupted by rage and sadness, Just this one would be a lot stronger, a lot more dangerous, a lot more vengeance fueled. There are tons and tons at theories but I got billions upon billions of theories, This could just be one of them.........

Part of Chapter 5 is set in a mall at Christmas and the main enemies are mannequins. Maybe the boss is a weird mall Santa figurine. Maybe Doug's daughter Tammy had a freak-out when he took her to see Santa at a mall and that event stood out to him.

I have a theory that the final 10th portal might be the hardest to defeat in chapter 5 remember the portals from chapter 4 they where crazy also and now I have a feeling that the 10th portal will have a final boss and I think it’s gonna be very difficult then the monkeys Agatha the gold watchers clowns nurses joy joy gang etc we also know the dark deception monsters represents Doug’s sins and past the monkeys violence Agatha wrath the gold watchers greed the dread duckies Fraud the clown gremlins Hersey the reaper nurses Lust the joy joy gang Gluttony Lucky is obsessed with winning Hangry is obsessed with food he really loves ribs Penny probably has a love obsession with Lucky I’m not sure now Mama Bear actually represents Treachery now the mannequins we don’t know what sin they represent because Chapter 5 is being developed and we don’t know about the final portal but we’ll see (Note: the stuff I said about the dark deception monsters that Doug encountered are true of what the dark deception wiki said that they represent the different kinds of sins the mannequins sin is unknown for now and so as the final 10th portal or monster)

Wait...hold the phone I just got a theory what if that thing whatever it is is Doug Houser's flesh what if the final level he loses his flesh to a monster and Malak forms this abomination using Doug's own flesh and his magic and it ends with Doug Houser beating this thing and eventually loses his soul please see this smack. also I have another theory that involves Doug Houser about to get corrupted but then Elise Houser saving Doug by sacrificing herself and tammy comes to help Doug free his wife from Malak's grip because Elise and Tammy sees that Doug is tring to save them after making his dark mistake but in the end Malak's control is too powerful and in honor of Elise the tuxedo is worn by him as he does the finishing blow and free her suffering based on the picture teaser is posted earlier this year.
