Cracks in the basement walls like that don't usually happen over time. Most likely from small earth quakes in the area. When the earth starts rumbling the tremors rolldice from the epicenter out, and strikes the walls. Happened to me while I lived in Maine.. The quake hit and tremors rolled through town. A lot of older basement walls were affected by that.. 4.3 or 4.7 I think..

You may have been able to get a good date from the folder that held the MRI scans, when I used to transport patients to and from the MRI facilities there was sometimes a date and possibly a name. Having a John cena and Batista stickers puts that house being lived in early to mid 2000. Another great find jay.

Hi JP! How are you doing? I gotta tell you, I loved the house you went into out on I. - 81 that was so well hidden & right next to the highway! Great find! It was nice having you out thisaway! 😍 We Love you here in Virginia!! ♥️ About this house. It seems to be the worst vandalized house I've seen you enter. And are those X-rays, not MRI negatives? Also, did you notice the electric meter at 10:47 (when you're rounding the back) was still intact. And I didn't see a red clip. Might have seen the green one. How could a meter still be in a residential location since what? 1985 or so with all if the vandalism that was present? Odd! Sad they left so much stuff behind. As if they didn't have a lot of time to pack & move. I always think eviction when I see a lot of belongings like clothes, shoes, kitchen ware, etc ☹️ Thank You again for entertaining us! The children's books got to me. The toys too. Hard to grasp why they got left behind. I have a record case just like that but it's pink. Got it in the 70's. It has Proud Mary in it too. Kinda cool. The noise you heard was probably something like a rat or a squirrel. They're pretty noisy in a wall. I did notice footprints by the basement door. Covered with new snow so not that old. Loving your videos.

I see that there have been no comments since 2 years ago but I have to comment on the very FIRST few seconds of this video. When I saw that carousel all covered with snow, I wanted SO badly for you to pick it up and clean the snow off so I could see it better. Maybe you know already from my comments on your train layout how much I LOVE carousels. I just wanted to see if this one was possibly musical at one time. Usually, I don't ever think about taking anything, but I sure would have liked for that to be refurbished or simply preserved.

I agree, Janice. I see so many "Abandoned" videos where a larger percentage of the things left behind are kids' toys, so many toys! Someone commented on one of Dan Bell's videos that in cases of eviction and foreclosure, people have to take only the most important things, leaving behind kids' toys, sports equipment, and even entertainment things. They take what's easiest to transport, often with limited transportation. Sad to see, though...

Yes, it's a shame to see when people think they can do what they want to an abandoned property. Most seem to be young adults with a bad attitude, whom may be doing the graffiti, and the tragic destruction of the place. All for self-interest and not much thought goes into the "why" naturally. I hate to think of how a society, like ours -- will be judged by these types of actions down the line. Well enough on that. Thanks for the nice video of another thought provoking explore.

I read a comment by a woman on another video. She described having to leave a house and the only thing she and her two children could take with them was the clothes on their backs and belongings in a handful of suitcases, although she said her life was better now. She indicated many people who abandon these places don't have the money to store belongings, lack friends or family or a social network to help store them, and cannot do anything but leave them behind, sometimes. It is quite sad, though, that these items could not be repurposed or recycled. However, we are not our belongings and we are not our house/home/shelter.
@bonniemartin96976 жыл бұрын
@@jimbonsf .... I totally agree that is quite sad. I'm fortunate to have a tight knit family and a few friends that I could count on in a heartbeat. It has to be devastating to not have family or friends you can count on when needed. Just SO-SO mean for someone to kick folks out of a home and not allow them to take their belongings.... ESPECIALLY children's toys, clothes, blankets, school and/or metals/trophys that they earned etc....it's just not right 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@Lalunabreeze5 жыл бұрын
Many cases they have to get out fast. Take what they can, leave the rest. Often this happens over n over. Just think if u had to get out fast. You can’t take everything. If your able to take some furniture it would be beds first. TV, some kitchen stuff, bedding, few chairs. That would fill a pick for sure. Tobacco Road Great video, again!❤️👍🏼✅

The place doesn't seem awfully old, I think, considering the cinder block foundation, drywall and some particle board in the roof. BTW, not just cracks in that foundation (at 14:30) but serious vertical shifting -- at least 2 inches out of line. Do you ever enter addresses into maps.google.com and scroll back to earlier 'Street View' images? Might prove interesting.
