This location was great and disappointing all at the same time. After driving by a large building for years. We finally discovered that there was an open back door. It appears to be an apartment building and business. We found our way inside, discovered some really great things inside but got stopped part way thru due to a barricaded door. Even though we didn't get through the entire building, it was still a good explore. Want to know the crazy part? The building still has power.
Please Note: Exploring Abandoned locations can be dangerous. I don't condone or encourage anyone to enter an Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission. I simply go to document its history before it's gone and leave things the way I find them. I assume all the risks & responsibility in doing so. Please don't attempt to do this on your own.

wow, crazy they didn't remove contents to give to Goodwill or something.. Maybe it was gutted where you were able to go because asbestos in the walls or something? Making the contents hazardous.. who knows. Hopefully that wasn't the case though. You explorers do take risks.

The people complaining about the "lack of research" need to understand that it is not always possible to do so, especially with the impromptu finds you have found. There is not always information on some locations. These videos are excellent, and a little mystery of a location makes it more interesting.

I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago. Thanks JP and Mike. I find it fascinating and sad at the same time...to think that people had to abandon their homes for whatever reason...sad. But, by the same token, I LOVE this! Keep up the great work and be safe!

People have such nerve getting upset because you don't give locations. It's really NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. You don't need druggies and graffiti all over everything. They should mind their own business.

Not only that, there are also vandals and thieves. And you might get the blame. Or what if someone goes to one of those abandoned places and gets hurt or worse and decides to sue. "Well so and so told me where it was, so it's his fault." Let them complain all they want, you don't need to tell them where anything is. It's always best not to.
@Dontwantahandle0
@Dontwantahandle0 6 жыл бұрын
Locations don't need to be revealed, that just invites the sure destruction of a place, because thieves and vandals watch these videos as well. I appreciate the way you document a place, so just do it your way, it's your channel and we are the guests.

i don't agree with destruction and vandalism, but stealing? is it really stealing when no one is using it and it's just rotting away for the next 50 years? i'd rather get it outside of the cold dark moldy backrooms and into the light so some people can enjoy and appreciate it and make use of it. if i make a little commission from going into unknown territory to find them, then that's justified. i'm risking a lot to bring these things out from oblivion. if i find a rare book, now some professor somewhere has it. if i find a coin collection, now some collector has it. if i find some electronics, now someone is able to fix and refurbish his devices from the parts. principled looters are a valuable part of the recycle and reuse ecosystem. why manufacture in excess when i can find a huge surplus hidden away somewhere? principled looters should be distinguished from destructive looters and vandals. i never use destructive methods. i never toss the place, i put everything back where it is if it has no value outside of the environment in which it was found. i have my own code and i deserve respect for the work that i do, just like everyone else in the urbex community.

This is the first video of yours I've seen & I thank you for clearing up how legally challenging it is in regards to certain info. I would also like to offer a small 'trick' I personally found easy when opening old cabinets or amoires (aka wardrobes). Keep a set of different width craft dowel rods (pointed or blunt rounded), this will help 'jimmie' the lock & in some cases the handle or keyhole side must be opened before it's companion.

I'm a hoarder i still have every one of those epic ghost buster finds the gun you had i believe i saw the yellow blast Ray in the corner that would attach in the front. And in the box you were digging in had the trap. That you could squeeze a ball and air would go through the tube and open the doors. That place is an 80s time capsule. Looks like they may have sold stuff in flea markets going by the way it was stored.

That black and white room is creepy AF. Some lawyer is using the estate to pay the for the power and probably charging a lot of money to do so every month. When the estate dries up, so will the power.

A little clue to the location @ 0.55. The yellow bag is from Fay's Drug. Fay's stores were in central and upstate NY. Fay's sold out in 1996.

Yah, just because there is a 25 year old bag from a store doesn’t mean they are anywhere near that store. I live in Houston and have things from all over the North East.

Hi JP, great explore! I think too a great job at looking through what you have time to and what you can get into. The beetle juice room might have been a bathroom at one point? Maybe that’s what the smell was.... who knows. I’m glad you don’t give out most of the locations, they would be looted, tagged and destroyed . Thanks for sharing and awesome job, gave you thumbs up as always!

JPVideos It is common since bro, it would be trashed in a week! Those that can’t appreciate the fact that you don’t share locations (and 99% of us understand why), those others are the ones that would probably be the ones to go in and loot the place. Once again, most understand and you shouldn’t have to explain or apologize, in my opinion. Great job!

Cool, a classic yellow Fay's Drugs bag right when you go in. I haven't seen or been in a Fay's since the mid-90s. I think Eckerd took them over then Rite Aid. One thing I remember from going to Fay's Drugs in the 80s as a kid was they had tall broomstick-like things attached to the carts so you see them throughout the store annnnnd you couldn't take them outside beyond the entrance vestibule. They had a pretty good toy aisle and candy section too for a drug store. More awesome 80's childhood memories. Sorry I focused on a Fay's bag, I do love your videos though!

Good Grief people, just be grateful JP is giving us the privilege in watching his videos. And if he doesn't post any information regarding the place he is exploring just accept it, then turn on your common sense and be guessful over what the history it may have behind it. Don't expect because he explorers gives him the knowledge regarding everyplace he finds. Some of these places either don't want any history related or to be safe in doing the explorers some info is best kept private. Just thank them for sharing and stop being so confrontational. Just be happy he is sharing with us. I'm grateful, as heck. Thank you so much for your work involved. You guys are great!!! It really bothers me to see so many children's toys, clothes abandoned. No child wants to leave their toys and clothes behind. So unfortunate for them. The only real problem I have is Noone or maybe only one explorer I've seen actually closes non vandalized outside windows and/or doors just allowing these awesome places to decay and rot less sooner. Can you answer why is it that outside elements in even rather nice places, the explorers fail to close doors and windows left open just to enhance more damage to the place much more rapidly? I wish you guys would shut them, there is no damage being done in that case, Just the opposite. Seems such a small favor for these abandoned places to maybe last a lot longer. Please consider.

Just baffles the mind what people will just walk off and leave. I see the property and my first thought is how many people would do the work needed to make it livable so they have a roof over their head. Also almost wonder it some of this stuff is stolen, the toys compared to furniture just doesn't add up for me in a time line, and that the toys to be intact and in original boxes. ??? Fun to wonder; Thank you JP love our walks. So much fun.
