Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves kzbin.infoUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

1. Clear off the shelf. 2. Pick a color palette. 3. Over buy accessories. 4. Emply the 1/3 rule. 4:46 5. Place large items first. 5:56 6. Fill in the gaps.7:47 7. Use the wall space. 9:39

THANK YOU! All I could find was videos about painting and arranging the walls in a way that would DESTROY my deposit! My favorite book right now is "The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma." It has saved my life! I highly recommend using the workbook along with it. ❤❤❤ Thank you and you have a new subscriber girl!

Thanks Sharrah, I managed to decorate my fireplace mantle using your methods. Anyway I have 3 big walls in my house that I don't know how to decorate. I was thinking add some bookcases but I still haven't found the one that I really like. Maybe you can show us how to decorate an empty wall.

Uhhhh the only things on my bookshelves are actual books. Is that really boring? I DO switch them between towers of books on their sides and rows of books standing up, alternating. I don't know if I could bear to part with all my books to make a decorating book shelf rather than a book bookshelf. Currently, I'm reading The Women of Brewster Place, and I'm loving it! But, The Old Man and the Sea is one of my all-time favorites. If you're looking for a great auto biography, I highly recommend The Color of Water and Kaifir Boy. If you like purple prose and short stories, I LOVED Krik? Krak!

One of my go-to novels is The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. I first read it in 2008 in one night because I could not put it down, and since then I've taken it with me on so many journeys, large and small, that I've gone through three copies :P For non-fiction right now, I'm reading a book my mom got my husband and me as part of a housewarming present for the new apartment we just moved to...it's The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning: How to Free Yourself and Your Family from a Lifetime of Cutter, by Margareta Magnusson. In a nutshell, it's how to minimize your possessions to create harmonious spaces in your home with things that you love and that represent your life, while learning how to let go of unnecessary items when you're alive so that when you die your family doesn't have to go through all your junk to do it for you :P
