I have been fishing fresh water for the past 6 months, for carp and catfish, saw your channel so I thought I would give saltwater a chance, went an bought some jigpara lures and major craft paddle tails, yesterday morning got three mackerel, got two bass on the major craft paddle tails, and 3 bass on sandworms, I was fishing my paraworm upside down I thought the split was supposed to be on the bottom. Still learning. Thanks

It really depends on the time day and conditions. But I always end up somewhere in SD BAY because it's closer.

Thanks I’m from the imperial valley, here where’s it’s hot as hell. But I occasionally fish at Harbor island. Brings back good ole memories my dad and mom used to take my siblings and myself and fish Harbor and Shelter back in the 80’s. We used to spend the night in the old camper shell next the public restrooms and fish all day and night. Mom would cook on a small grill and we would cook what we would catch. So I’m so glad I follow you. So thank you so much. Maybe one of these days I’ll have the privilege of fishing with you. 🐟🐟🐟

Hey Bearz! Question . Do you gravitate towards light gear as far as reel and rod? Been using a medium light at croix mojo inshore with a stradic 2500 with 10lb braid and 15 lb leader and can get out a decent distance but I’d like to get out a little further any tips?

Lighter gear and/or better gear. Wind conditions may be a factor and line quality. Also, the bait also plays a factor, depending if the bait is aerodynamic or weight transfer, it'll dictate the castibility/distance.
