Close to 20 different kinds of tools made from the tusks of mammoth and mastodon are known in North America. Greater than 90% of them have been found preserved underwater in Florida's rivers. All of them are made from the remains of animals that have been gone for about 13,000 years and should be at least that old- meaning they were made and used by Clovis or Pre-Clovis people. Please visit www.paleotopioneer.com for more information on this and other interesting topics.
