Why Clovis Can't Be First. Kincaid Rockshelter Texas

Kincaid Rockshelter, Uvalde County, Texas is about 125 west of San Antonio. Only 17 Clovis artifacts were kept but they included a complete and broken Clovis point, exhausted hedge shaped blade cores, and several broken Clovis preforms. The Clovis point base was made from obsidian found in Mexico 100km or 620+ miles straight south from the site (this work was done by Tom Hester and others in 1985). By the time we recognize Clovis at this site they had already been a looooong way south and back. This is just the first of extreme examples like this I will talk about- Clearly Clovis can't be first when we can show were they have already been.... at places where we did not yet recognize them as Clovis.
Because Sellards did not realize it was a Clovis site and outside of Texas it is not as well know as it should be people often overlook a huge amount of information that came from this site from the Clovis and Folsom layers on up through about everything else that could be present in that part of Texas.
