I love how fast birch respond and heal and grow. It's like bonsai on fast-forward

More so when they are young trees like this. They start to get a little slower as they age. Just like me. Lol. Stay safe.

I enjoyed seeing the progress of this tree in one video. It made it very easy to see what your vision of the tree is. Sometimes when a video is made in spring and another in the fall it isn't as easy to appreciate the stages the tree has gone through. Thank you.

Thankyou. Sometimes when I sit down to edit all the bits together I am surprised at the change in the tree myself. You don't notice when uou see it everyday. Also sometimes my memory fails or I change my mind about the future direction of a tree and again I don't realise until editing. A downside is I sometimes forget to record or lose (delete by accident) footage. Anyway. Lots more of these timey wimey videos to come. Stay safe

Excellent pruning and wiring, resulting in lovely development of the tree. I look forward to seeing more of it next season. Thanks, Sid.

You guy made me start my own bonsais! Started some different trees I found around the city. Interesting fact I was not aware of ist that you can find trees and bags full of seeds anywhere even very rare species. Greets from Germany.

This birch already has really nice shape to it, I can envision this turning into a really nice conical shaped tree 🌲

I hope so. It may need a bit of wrestling to get it there as I'm sure it will try it's best to outgrow my design. Stay safe

That's a fadt growing tree. This is nice for getting a branch structure fast but it will probably be difficult to maintain once the design reaches it's final stage. A very nice tree!
@SidsTrees
@SidsTrees 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know what you mean. It will constantly be trying to outgrow the design. I'm hoping as it ages it will become a little less vigourous. Stay safe mate

Great video Sid! I can't get enough of these progressions - and birch are so obliging in their growing capacity. Even though birch is short lived, mine will still be a teenager when I get good and grey lol!

Lol. I've been grey for a while now but the trees don't seem to mind. Thanks Sue. Stay safe

I got into birch trees big time this year. I'm really excited about them. This video is very inspiring and I can't wait till my pre bonsai birch seedlings are ready to work a little next year. I LOVE that they grow so fast 😃 Thanks for sharing your experience with the Birch, Sid! I hope to see more updates in the future 👍🏻

There will be updates for sure. I love Birch too. Watch out for a video to come soon in a similar vein but of a birch I eventually want to be around 4 feet (1.2m) tall. And of course the birch Clumps etc.🙂 Stay safe

Do you use sealing paste for big cuts, Sid?
@SidsTrees
@SidsTrees 2 жыл бұрын
I don't. Generally speaking the modern thought is it best to let wounds be and they will heal cleaner. Some even say that you are more likely to seal fungus etc in than out. Happy Christmas. Stay safe
