Just FYI for folks who see this video I am back to using a full gallon sized restaurant salad dressing bottle as an anchor because it seems to hold a little better.

This is freaking brilliant. THANKS! I was looking for a solution for a small inflatable catamaran I’m buying.

Hope it works out for ya. FYI Since this video I went back to a larger bottle. Basically the same size as a bleach jug.

Hello, I would like to ask you something...does this work in the sea? Could you please tell me what is inside the plastic "bottle"? Thank you. Greetings from Italy

Hey, great vid! Thank for the tip. Questions though: Looks like the Flexi long only gets to 26 ft. Is this an issue for anchoring depth? Also, does the leash exert any pressure on the side of the boat when it's in the oar lock? Do you have any pics of the boat with the anchor rig attached? Got a Seahawk myself, appreciate the DIY!

No pics sorry. It probably puts a little pressure on the boat but hasn't been an issue. As for the length I think some point this summer on a big river the leash wasn't long enough to anchor up properly but that may be the only time I ran into that issue. Could always use a rope to extend the length if needed. Also just fyi I am using a larger gallon jug again instead of the one in this video. It just seems to hold a little better. Cheers
