Awesome! Love fishing on the big pond! Great to see another video of others doing it in smaller boats as some feel its not possible. Gives others more confidence to go on the big pond if they have a smaller boat, with the right conditions of course.

I use a 18’ Lund tyee on Lake Michigan 3-5 times a week weather permitting. Mainly target kings. When the waters cold and fish are in the top 60’ I won’t even use my riggers. Wire divers, coppers, and leadcore line are more productive. The riggers are the least productive rods that I only use with 3-4 ppl in the boat 9-12 rod spread and when fish are really deep.

Great video! I see what looks to be a Du-Bro release on your inline board. They are designed to be easier for the fish to release than for the rod to pop. Great idea! Except... how do you keep the board attached to the line? Do you let it slide down to the fish? I don't see anything to capture the line like on a Church board. I was expecting to see an OR-16 clip (red with center pin) attached to the tattle tail system so that the line would have enough movement to trip the release, but I didn't see that either. Please let us know your technique! Thanks.

Been looking to add downriggers on my small boat set up and have been looking at a board setup like in this video. New subscriber and I believe this isn’t your boat but I am interested in hearing about this downrigger board set up and how it is secured to the boat? Any review/feedback you have would be awesome! Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have been on Lake Huron a few times and I was able to get my first ever lake trout and Atlantic salmon. I am looking forward to getting over to lake Michigan some day and getting a King if I'm lucky. I have a 17" boat and Michigan and Ontario are the only lake's I haven't been on.
