I'm in Michigan and was a juror in a case against a large chain store for a bad oil change. The person who owned the car won. They had driven 7 miles motor blew up. They failed to put new oil in motor after removing the oil. Might be worth a consult with an attorney.

The garage said they had 4 more cars to do from Valvoline! It's crazy! We got the car fixed and they are refunding the oil change and UBER's. Thank you for sharing your experience. I wish we would've had more time to get in touch with an attorney.

Hi April, l very much enjoy your videos. I like that you talk to us like we are a friend. Your videos are long and they keep me company while I prep for my next market. I crochet as well and I love it. I agree with you about not doing that market and I imagine that most of the other vendors decided to stay home as well, so don’t stress too much about it. I’m from Louisiana and we just went through a hurricane. It was very bad but we were very lucky and didn’t have much damage. Anyway thanks for your hard work on making these videos , it is truly appreciated, and I love everything you crochet. You taught me how to embroider the eyes, so thank you for that as well. I look forward to your next video. 😊

I used to do a lot of craft fairs with Christmas ornaments. Both indoors and outside street fairs. My stuff was easily ruined beyond repair if there is rain or super bad wind. You are totally right, In most places if there is rain people do not come and shop. I would also never leave my stuff over night. I agree with that. Sometimes it is not just the rain it is what is on the ground also. I have been to shows where the rain stops and sun comes out, but there is stuff floating down the street that had been knocked over. I suppose that would depend if it is a park or a street fair where there is a low spot for run off that you up against.

I love me some Christmas ornaments, lol! I put so many on my tree my kids laugh. I hate leaving my stuff overnight, but in the past it's been fine. They usually hire multiple police officers to keep an eye out overnight. But if the weather is bad, yikes. It gives me so much anxiety to leave it I won't lie. Your video made me feel validated that some days it is ok to scrap my "plan" and do what I need to do for me. I get frustrated with myself sometimes when I have all these plans to be so productive and then life/kids/pets/work happens and I just don't have the energy to get it all done. Then I use way too much mental energy beating myself up and being disappointed. This let me see it from a different perspective so not I know I need to cut myself some slack and see that I can't do everything. Set my priorities and show up for them and then do what I can with what is left over.
@thecozybuckeye2 ай бұрын
I love reading your comment. I have days like this too. We def have to prioritize everyday what is most important. If something comes up and changes our plans, it's ok. Having kids and a business/work and juggling all of the chores is so hard but give yourself grace and a pat on the back!! I bet you are doing an amazing job! We are harder on ourselves than we should be. If I have a messy house or laundry to do who is it going to hurt really? I know I will get it done when I can and that's ok. Hang in there! Don't forget to slow down and smile today and enjoy the small stuff.

Sending you lots of continued prayers for Raja! I would absolutely have opted to not go to the market like you did. The howling wind in the background in the second half of your vlog was unreal! Two weeks ago I had a market that was rained out. We got as far as setting up tents and then the skies opened up, downpour, thunder, lightening and wind. We kept the inventory in the cars and huddled under the tent for about 45 minutes before the coordinator finally came over and dismissed us. This past weekend we had two markets (one on Sat., and an Applefest on Sun). No rain but the wind was bad, especially the gusts. It destroyed several display items including the chicken coop my husband built for me and I had to chase plushies all over the place. No way would I have left my set-up overnight in those conditions like you would have had to! Question for you... I too like hanging some inventory from my tent structure. This past weekend I made fall/Halloween themed fabric pennant banners (which were for sale) and strung them from the outside and across the inside of my tent. It looked so cool and I received a ton of compliments. That said, the rest of my shows this year are indoors. How do you hang things for your indoor markets? I've seen some vendors put up the structure of their tents and leave off the actual canopy so they could still hang things. What have you done or would you do?
@thecozybuckeye2 ай бұрын
If you can put up a tent inside, I would go for it! I love the look of my jellyfish hanging in the tent. It's so cute! I haven't had to display them inside yet, but I will let you know when I figure it out. Thanks for reminding me to think about that! I'm sorry you had a crappy market in the rain and wind. That is not fun at all, and I do feel for you. Here's to hoping we get some good weather and amazing sales going forward.

I would not go to that market if there is a chance of your things flying away and whatnot... And how unlucky your step daughter with the car. It must have been a terrible experience for her, and I guess the "garage" without a doubt will cover her new engine.
