In my state a cop can pull you over detain you and question you and run your ID or plates without probable cause. If they ask to see it you should probably present it. Just because they can I thought they couldn’t but when I actually took it to court they kinda laughed at me and then proceeded to school me on the laws… what they didn’t know was that this cop was repeatedly pulling me over and running my plates and writing tickets that didn’t even make sense. And I had to get a lawyer and was told this was stalking and harassment, along with the officer writing false tickets… don’t know if she was ever reprimanded if fired but I know I won a small settlement. She never bothered me again! Thank God but I fear she’s only doing it to other people. Her excuse for everything was “because I can I’m the law” what a joke.

The way I look at it. The guy needs to comply. Let the cop do his job and stop escalating it. That’s the problem. People need to start letting cops do their jobs. The guy is wrong.
