Frank was cheating the company. Darryl told her the truth on who really did all the work. As they say karma is unkind or karma can be kind depending on what you did or didn't do. Frank was the one being sloppy and he ended up with his repercussions for what he did to Darryl.

Even though Daryll worked hard for the company, Frank fired him for no good reason at all. Frank should be ashamed. Ms. Lipez attempted to step her game up by letting Daryll being a representative manager of her company. He deserved to be hired.

Here's a new twist. Daryl is an assistant to Frank, who behind hardwork and professionalism, is planning to plagiarize and steal credit for the work!! Their boss, though not racist, is that distrusting of Daryl due to melanin, surely. And not wanting to properly investigate the issue, will have HR and the police involved.
