Small changes, BIG IMPACT in our TINY HOME - Ep 131

While completing the refit of our v berth cabin, we decided to dig into more boat projects onboard our sailboat. We did a refit of our galley, making minor adjustments to modernize our tiny home.
We added a backsplash, replaced our sink, faucet, and repurposed wood from our vberth and a few other tweaks to spruce it up and brighten up on galley.

Very impressed with the boat modifications. Really like the splash shield and hidden trash bin. People that have never lived on a boat or maybe a very small apartment probably can not relate or would not appreciate the changes you guys have made. But I really do enjoy these videos. 👍

To save hot water and to use cold water for rinsing, at times we use a dish washing tub for a sink. Unfortunately all of the inexpensive ones are plastic.

I know you guys are watching sugars.. is it just white, refined processed sugars?? We don’t eat that stuff either, but instead use healthy alternatives. Thought I’d share for you in case it’s helpful. Pure maple syrup, dates, raw honey, coconut sugar, pure apple sauce, sweet potato… we use these often for cooking and baking. 💗

We challenged ourselves for 2 weeks to exclude all sugars except that from fruit. Now, we’re just limiting white and refined. Thanks for sharing all those!☺️

I love seeing the "lttle things" that make a "big difference". The propane switch, the paper towel height and the privacy glass. All great improvements. I am also like Travis regarding mismatched spice bottles. Good to know that there are more of us out there!

I like big sinks and I can not lie 🤣🤣, love the things that you guys are doing!!! Making the boat better for what you want/need is amazing, but you only know what you want when you've lived with things you don't like lol. I enjoy every single min of every vid you guys put out. Great looking upgrades. I'm not a big fan of single sinks, but that is a good looking one and I certainly understand why you went with it. Those big sinks are handy when it comes to washing small dogs.

When we were boat shopping, we settled on Hunter, and then it was between the 410 and the 420...we really liked both of them but the better deal ended up being the 410.....you guys are making us regret getting the 410 instead of the 420 😂. That rear wall is screaming out for a wooden spice rack and to reduce the amount of water you need in the sink you could get a washing basin. I would never get rid of the microwave the only person that would doesn't spend much time in the galley. 😁

As the former owner of a Passage 42 I fully endorse your sink refit. The double sinks always spilled over ruining the fiddle. For me it’s the big settee that always drove us nuts, the boat just has nowhere comfortable on passage.

Yep that water spillage drove us nuts. 😖The settee we actually love. Used it as a bed with our ottoman propped up as a Lee cloth. Curious if you got a new boat afterwards and if so, what it was/how it compares
