After building my first comp style SCX24, there were some things that I could improve on for my local competitions. So I decided to just dive into another new build! This time, there was even more that I wanted to build myself though!

An inspiring underdog story. All you need is skill, hard work, some liquid tungsten and access to the Vanquish factory and you too can dominate the local mini-comp! Seriously though, as a 1/24 enjoyer it’s awesome to see you push the limits! Looking forward to more.

Nice win! Couple of nice saves in there. Good driving all around. So, you have enough tooling to build cams for bending nice arced links for high clearance. Personally, I've been using a brake line bender. 2mm all-thread with 2 mm I.D. stainless tubing. I cut off enough at the ends with an Imp tubing cutter after the bends are done and thread on my ends. Slick AF. But, a guy like you with the resources you have, seems like maybe there's a sweet product line in the future that would have some higher end stuff for the 24 scale market. Maybe? Happy New Year to you and yours and thanks for all the laughs on Live Stream.
@HarleyDesignsInc
@HarleyDesignsInc 9 ай бұрын
I do prefer solid material links compared to sleeved links but the bending process isn’t much different. For such small diameter links, if I was looking for a radius to be bent to, I’d like just 3d print some dies to work. Or I’d use the BAC industries mighty rod bender which comes with many different radius options. I use it for cage fabrication as well when using solid material.

@@HarleyDesignsInc cmon I needed some feedback man!! lol! Just got my first air brush kit recently. And BTW I really love the purple wheels I got in TOF, but when I went to put em together today I was really disgruntled……why on earth would they put stainless hardware and not black!!! Geeesh man I’m a pollock and can figure that out!! 🤔🤨😂 Have a great new years sir. I know ima get backlash but you do deserve it.

Can you tell me more about those rod ends?

They are from Amazon, I searched M2 rod end SCX24. They have bent and straight options. The pivot ball is only 4mm wide instead of 5mm though so it has slop in the pockets unless you shim them.
