Slightly disagree with u here sir because It’s totally depends on the individual requirement. If u r driving fully loaded car regularly eg: 4 passengers 1 driver and their luggage than u should avoid the small engines because u r putting too much strain on the engine and ur fuel efficiency goes down. On the other hand bigger engines with better power band will be more fuel efficient and much relaxed to drive if u carry passengers and their luggage regularly.

Sir 3 cyl engine me bar bar gear shift karna padta hai jo 4 cyl engine me nahi karna padta aur turbo ka sahi samay pe maintainence na rakhe to pickup down ho jata hai...jo drive smoothnes 4 cyl engine chalane me hai wo 3 cyl me feel nahi hota.

These reviewers are not professionals they are just specification and data readers. Ask the engine professionals or mechanics about the lifespan and reliability of 3 cylinder turbos Here is my opinion Turbochargers and 3 cylinder engines 1) always have a turbo lag which is very frustrating 2) very very high on maintenance especially after 80k km and warranty is over 3.) more complexity so always have zero or very low reliability and durability especially after warranty is over and 80k km 4.) engines always feel tired and 100% load with 4 persons. 5.) very short lifespan just good up to warranty or less than 80k Kim’s. 6.) in short these are compromised engines and gimmicks to provide the initial impression to the customers that these are very fast and efficient but in reality these are lemon engines after warranty is over and very high on maintenance and doesn’t last more than 1 lakh km Whereas Naturally aspirated engines 1) engine life from 6 lakh to 1 million km which is 8 times better than 3 cylinder turbochargers.( example - Toyota 2.) very low on maintenance almost half the cost of 3 cylinder and turbos 3.) doesn’t feel tired or loaded 4.) big displacement engines are always better than small 3 cylinder turbos.

Yes bro glad to see someone pointed out finally. When u put turbo on small displacement three cylinder engine it went through various stresses as u force it to work harder than it's capacity. So it felt strain at heavy load and reliability is worst too. So "No replacement for displacement"

Absolutely Correct Information, Small Engines means less manufacturing cost, Turbo adds power and performance, Less Engine weight means increase in Mileage, Tax Saving on Vehicles Cost. Now a days almost every manufacturer is leaning towards small engines, Currently they are more refine. Skoda Rapid and VW Vento, Polo, Hyundai Venue and many more cars are coming with this kind of Engines. Unfortunately the Ford who started this kinde of engines with EcoBoost engine in Ecosport should be launched again. One of the Finest Engine Ford has discontinued and after them Hyundai and other companies are going ahead with Ford's Concept. #automobiledna

Remember your video on VW polo 1 lit engine where you and someone with u have laughed at small engine of VW polo .You made comments on VW Engineers and their understanding of engineering.But what you did not get from the smaller engine is the concern about approaching environmental regulations that require to be addressed by the manufacturer

Confussion! Budget 6 lac should I go for triber rxl or rxt. (Rxt costing 50+20 k extra) (rxl=5.65, rxt=5.35 onroad) should I wait for Amt (not available in CSD as of now ) (will cost 53k more on road) . My daily running is 10km up and 13 km down in city delhi cantt (total less than 1000 km per month) (for 3 more years). Small family of four , extra seat will be used on special occasions only. Should I look for triber or something else. Need to know you view .

Venue 1.0 engine is good and with dct is mind blowing and easy refined drive whereas amt is the cheapest type of automatic and gives bad jerks and isn’t at all smooth when compared to a dct
