Thanks for the answer. I am already looking for a new board aswel but since I don't have the money for getting one and getting new wheels at this point, I am looking for wheels that will be a bit easier to begin sliding and after a while get the board to go with it =]

I can attest to those sector 9 78a top shelf formulas. I prefer them over my 78a flashbacks, butterballs, and these frf, they have a fun factor I can't explain and they have the plus of being dirt cheap. Only wheels i would buy twice so far.

Hello, I have started longboarding about 5 months ago on a loaded dervish with abec 11 gumballs 78a and have now started to develop a taste for sliding, freeride and just learning some tricks. I was wondering if you could sugest me a good beginner sliding / freeride set of wheels to use when not using the gumballs I already have. In case it makes a difference, roads where I live don't have perfect pavement Cheers and thanks for the videos =D

Some amazing riders out there only use otang wheels and it doesn't hinder them one bit. Just because you can't go fast and slide big on them doesn't mean they're bad wheels.

Hey dude I got the Rad glides at the beginning of the summer and they last a while they are awesome they slide so nice I have the blue ones and they only ice out about once every time you go out. Really buttery slide. Get them. P.S they don't thane though.

Dont lie Nate. Butterballs are not consistent. The closer to the core u get the more inconsistent they are. They are fun if your not looking for high quality but a lot of thane.

Yes really easy it was the wheel I learned to slide on, cored them last night and after a month I went from learning to do a 180 to doing 25ft slides they are amazing

in my experience reorganization from left to right: these, fatfree 86a, fatfree 83a, fatfree80a, metro?, rayne, noschoolz, butterballs, checkers, topshelf/nineballs, city slasher 78a, polka, city slasher 86a, bertz they all die in about a week with the exception of these.

depends on your preference. learn on what you got then worry about proper wheels when you learn to slide. thats what i did.

no they are different feels that a wheel can have when sliding.. you can have buttery, sugary, or chalky thane.

baluts chatter like a mofo because of how sharp the lips were but thay fixed that up with the morangas. fat frees have a more rounded lip and don't chatter as much. the only thing about otangs is that they slide better in the heat and they can be really grippy in the cold especially the 80a. in my opinion 80a are the best. i've had all three their a great summer wheel.
