For the velcro strips I just put the two pieces together (velcro sides together) and then take the backing off the one that goes on the wall and put it all on at once. No need to match up.

For Velcro strips, just attach the other side that would attach to the wall to what you are hang up first (so Velcro strip to Velcro strip) then just press and hold to the wall. Much fast let and works for me every time. I’ve lived in dorms and apartments for about the last 5 years and it’s never not worked.

I’m new to your channel so I’ve been watching some of your old videos. You’re doing a great job and you should be proud of all you’ve been able to accomplish. Without going into details, I can guess what happened in your marriage and I can relate to the gut wrenching pain this can cause. I’m so sorry you or anyone else ever has to feel that pain. It is the absolute worse. However, that’s not what prompted me to comment. You mentioned in an older video you dislike the idea of renting because you’re throwing money away. I wouldn’t worry too much about that. To be honest, at least where I live, by the time you pay property tax, homeowners insurance, pest control, termite protection, trash pickup, etc etc you come out not really losing by renting but breaking even. The only advantage of buying (monetarily) is that you may build equity. Of course, it may be different in your area. For the time being, enjoy the simple ease of renting while your landlord deals with all the headaches of ownership. Take your time and I wish you much joy and happiness!!! You are a beautiful young lady and your best life is yet to come. What you’ve been through will always be a part of you but I hope you will have a very blessed life emotionally and financially going forward. That would be my prayer for you. Take your time. You’re still very young. 😊

I wish I had a dedicated laundry room/closet! All I have is the washing machine in my kitchen 😭 I've been using command hooks and stripes as well for many years now and here's a tip, specially for those velcro-like stripes: you can stick it to the frame and then attach the one that goes on the wall straight away into the one on the frame, remove the covering on the stick side of the one that goes on the wall and then just place the frame where you want it, push it in place for a few seconds and then remove the frame in order to leave just the wall one behind, already attached to the wall, push it against the wall for a few more seconds and put the frame back :) did I explain that alright or was it just 1000x more complicated? Ahahahah that way it saves you the hassle of having to mark down on the wall where the other side on the tape is supposed to go as you'll use the frame to guide everything into place ;) I just noticed that I paused the video to give that super long suggestion and then you did exactly that for the little lint bin 😂 sorry! It turned out great! Love all those bins 😍

Thank you Catherine. I just moved to a rental house and have exactly the same thing and it’s quite a mess. This is just what I needed! Thank you for the inspiration. Also, for explaining the command strips. I had used a lot of them and before I moved began removing them and what a hot mess I made! Finally, I realized I was doing it all wrong. Pulling on the strip down and towards me which removed paint and sometimes some of the Sheetrock! A hot mess!
