Small Mountain Stream is LOADED with Mallards

Late season sunshine mallards. It doesn't get much better than this. As Matt and the guys head up the mountain they chase a hope and find a pile of mallards and geese. With scenery that is tough to beat and ducks willing to give it up the hunt becomes one they will soon not forget.

Great hunt, they did it right! How far do you normally have to drive to get to a hunting location? Used to drive 2 hours to get anywhere decent in IL.

Now that a lot is froze up we have to drive about an hour to get into the birds.

Is there a certain life vest you like to use?

Whichever one that fits well and I can find in my garage :-) Honestly most of the time I'm hunting very shallow water with minimal current. We always have life vests with us regardless, but for me it's not a big deal which one I'm using as long as it floats me. I also always have my dry bag near by full of air that can float me if need be.
