Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of interesting ideas and I appreciate how you point out possibile issues with the various options you provide. Frankly though, I was hoping for different recommendations than the usual couple of IKEA pieces everyone mentions in these "budget friendly small apartment" videos and your other options... Well, you and I have a different idea of what is affordable, I guess. (I do know it's AUD. Though if people often get confused you may want to consider writing AUD instead of using the $ on prices, just a suggestion.) That's allowed. I'll just have to remember that.

Those sofa beds are actually pretty! I have a sofa bed by Luonto and even tho it was pricy it's very durable and comfortable as both a bed and sofa.

I just checked out Luonto, they look nice! But yeah sofa beds are usually pricier, the way I like to think of it is you're buying a single piece instead of a sofa and a bedframe, so if they serve both functions well then they're def worth it.

I recently got myself a second hand antique secretary desk, where the desk part folds away so it looks like a chest of drawers. Perfect for small spaces and I love that I can just hide my office away.

Amazing as always! I have a question, We have a small one-bedroom home that needs an office area for two people. We can't use our room as it is too small. How can we make 2 office spaces in our small living room? Could you please suggest any ideas in your clips? I couldn't find anything for 2 people on the Internet 😢

We did this one project with two-person office in the living room - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3SZqmiurLaefKc It does require a bit of sacrifice but I think the best way to do it is to get one long desk, and separate them with a drawer in the middle. That way it looks seamless (only one desk), but can fit two comfortably.

Affordable? These sofa beds are more than double what you can get a traditional sleep sofa for and don’t look even remotely confortable as a sofa. $4,000 for a sofa with storage‽ Used to enjoy your videos but seems to be just promoting whoever gives you most money to showcase their items

That's a bit harsh... that sofa looks great, traditional sofabeds often look bad. I'd pay more to have a good looking sofa bed. We can't all afford that, but I've seen all the ones from Ikea a hundred times, and am happy to see one that pleases the eye for a change.

@@yellowbags the title of this video is “budget friendly” and he says “affordable” in his intro. Plus I wasn’t referring to IKEA. I worked for a major national furniture company and our sleep sofas were $1,000-1,200. These ‘budget’ recommendations were around $2,500.

Well when you cherry pick data then everything can look bad unfortunately. Those sofa beds are in Australian dollar (1400-2500) which equates to 900-1600USD, so pretty much the range you mentioned? The 4000 dollar sofa, you literally took the biggest size, a 7-seater sectional measuring 290x290cm (114inches wide and long in imperial), and again that is aud (so around 2,600USD). Not sure what to expect when the data is cherry picked that way... Plus I also include so many IKEA alternatives and hacks you can do on a much smaller budget :)

​@@jeremyhelquistYou workED - past tense. So you are citing prices from the past which we don't even know how many years ago was applicable. Seems legit.... I don't understand your problem overall. He always shows the designer version of a given furniture type and then gives you a budget friendly alternative eg from IKEA. It's very helpful because it gives the viewer an idea of what to look for let it be in a cheaper store or a second hand shop. Eg I live in Europe, I don't have access to most stores that he mentions but his examples guide me into the general direction of what to look for in the shops that are accessible for me. I don't see why you need to make such bad intended comments...
