I've posted some long videos lately and I thought you might like something shorter. In this video, Teena and I stop by the small city of Paragould, Arkansas in the northeastern corner of the state near the Missouri state line. We were passing through on our way to somewhere else, when I saw a building I really wanted to shoot.

It was interesting that you commented on not using a tripod. In the last video I was thinking about it because I noticed you hand holding. I was going to ask you about it in my comment but forgot. Your point about the light quality is also interesting. I wrestle with that sometimes. The light you like is much more even and nice for BNW. But, then there are other times when I love the mix of light and shadow. Don't know if the paper had anything to do with it, but I love the moody sky as a backdrop for this old building. That GFX detail is also really nice. Thanks for taking us along!!

Thank you! Yeah the IS and the horizon level really make the tripod extraneous in many cases.

I think I speak for everyone here that dig these types of videos. We’re not into Disneyland nor any type of theme parks. There’s people like me that LOVE ghost towns or semi ghost towns. I recently went to Toyah, just like you did in two previous trips of yours. Keep them coming, Keith. I love your style of making videos. You don’t add crazy music nor anything extravagant. Just plain simple videos and photographs. Good job, Keith.

Hey Juan - I appreciate the kind words! We agree about these little towns for sure! Toyah is quite a location. I’ll have some great new locations coming up in future videos

Hey this was interesting. I like the way you captured the Farmer’s Exchange in BnW. It had great contrast and from just the right angle. Thanks

Thanks! The control over contrast is why I so love the soft light. It gives latitude

Once again, another great stop in the road for you two. That old red sign was beautiful. Signs nowadays are very boring. I look forward to your next stop.

Hi, Keith and Teena. Another very nice video. I also know how important good IBIS is. In the G9II it is 6 or 7 stops and I can notice that very well. Now I can also take photos without a tripod. An excellent print you show here on a very nice peace of paper, my friend. You don't see these buildings that you show here in the Netherlands. Our land there is too small for every square meter that is currently used for house construction. Especially homes for people like me who can no longer live in a multi-story house, but can live in a single-story house. You have done your best again to present a good video. Sincere warm greetings from the Netherlands, Antoine.

Thanks Antoine! I thought people might appreciate a shorter video this week. I have been releasing pretty long ones and I have some more long videos coming up

This is very good and thought provoking photography, because it makes me think and wonder. Why do these towns exist? Were these ever thriving? How did it become derelict? How do these people survive in such derelict places? What do they do? What plans are there for their future? I am sorry if I come across as uninformed, I live in the UK.

Believe me, I ask many of the same questions! The answers are complicated but little towns like these did thrive in agricultural times, but with manufacturing gone to foreign markets, and most opportunities in bigger cities, small town America is dying. But this town is bigger than it looks, about 25-30,000 people and it may have better prospects

@@Keithdotson Thank you for your reply. Looks like Globalism has done a lot of damage to a lot of countries all over the world, all in the name of money. Hope those guys find a better future.
