Thank you for the tour of Emmett. You passed by the city park where my grandparents had an old drive in called "Lee's Drive-In" on North Johns (that's when the high school was across the street). I spent many summers with them and that park. Thank you for the memories.

Hi Dale!! Emmett is a great little town... but not as little as it used to be! I shot an updated video in Emmett a week and a half ago. It's in the editing process now. I took many still photos and made a nice little Emmett magazine! Keep your eye out for that new video to be posted... probably another week or so. When it does come out, that magazine will be available on my website. But if you don't want to wait, I'm happy to email it to you. You can always contact us at our website, www.TreasureValleyDave.com Thanks for watching 😁

Hi Chris! Yes, Emmett is a great little town... off by itself but still close enough to the things the big city has.

Great video. We’re leaning towards moving to Emmett in the next couple of years. Of course, by then we probably won’t be able to afford it, the way prices are climbing. I also notice that the historical homes downtown don’t seem to come on the market that often. They’re lovely so I can see why folks would want to hang on to them. ❤

Hi and good morning! Emmett is a great little town! You're right, those old historic homes don't come on the market all the time... but if you like them and you have flexibility in your buying timeframe, we can set up a specific home search that will alert you when one of those homes does come on the market. Just let my partner, Mareen, know what you're looking for... she's at 208-860-2004 or Info@TreasureValleyDave.com I wanted to let you know that I've recently shot an update to this Emmett video and it should be coming out on Sep 9th. There is also a great and information magazine I put together... Small Town Living in Emmett. I think you'll like it!!

That’s what I need a small population .

It could be Emmett for that small population area... or it could be New Plymouth or Idaho City or Weiser or Marsing... and so many others. You've got lots of choices!!

Yeah... it's super nice in Emmett. Smaller population, small town feel, lot of agriculture... kinda like Ammon. But Emmett is only 15-20 minutes to the Treasure Valley with all it's jobs and shopping AND it's so much more mild in the winter than, for example, Ammon.
@larespuertorico3 жыл бұрын
What about the town of Ammon can you do a video ?
@TreasureValleyDave3 жыл бұрын
Hi Gonzo! Ammon is way on the other side of the state... within a couple miles of Wyoming. I've spend some time over in Idaho Falls and Blackfoot area. It's very nice and has that small-town feel, for sure. It's completely different than the Treasure Valley. That area has smaller towns and a lot of agriculture... and the winters are sooooooo much colder! The next time I get over that way, I'll be sure to shoot a video!!

I enjoyed your video. I am thinking about renting a place in Emmett. Can you tell me when driving from the Boise area to Emmett it there are a lot of hills to climb? My vehicle, like me, has gotten older and climbing hills can be a challenge.
@TreasureValleyDave3 жыл бұрын
Hi Diane! No... you're not going to have any problem at all!! When you come out of the flatlands of Emmett, you do climb a fairly steep hill but it's nothing to worry about. I'm guessing the hill is about a mile (it's all nice highway) then things get fairly flat... a little up and down but nothing you'd call hills. Then in about 10 miles you'll start a gradual drop into the flatlands between Star and Eagle as you come to Hwy 44. Unless you're driving a Model T, I think you'll be just fine!!

Was a nice little town til out of towners tried to turn it into another state.

You're right, Steve. People coming to Idaho should become Idahoans... and not change their new home into the place they just left. On the other hand, it would just be wrong for us to go to California and be law-abiding, friendly and caring. Remember that, Steve; when you go to California, be sure to shoplift and poop on the street! We don't want to offend their culture.

Thanks for the tour! I remember when I asked about more rural towns you suggested Emmett. How would you rate the medical care in Emmett and how far from a top notch medical center?
@TreasureValleyDave3 жыл бұрын
Hi!! Emmett has some nice clinics in town... but you're only about 16 miles to Meridian with all the medical care and shopping and jobs and whatever else you like. And the road from Emmett to just between Star and Eagle is pretty much a straight shot... and there's a passing lane in places too. If you needed to go to a big hospital in Boise, your drive from there might be about the same as your drive in from Caldwell.
