My floors and walls may all be the "right" way around, but my last build ended with three boxes basically. A 3×3×1 house, a 3×3×1 kitchen, and 4×8×2 workshop. The workshop is only that big because I go full dork and try to have one chest for each resource. I need a label maker 😅

Questions - How fast do building items degrade when exposed? Does wood get damaged faster than stone? Would it be better to just put any outside decking under an awning or porch?

I haven't played for long but I completed the story etc and got the icarus wings & scorpion armor. Anyways, decided to rebuild my camp the other day. So I destroyed all the base and boxes and moved the stuff nearby into piles. Saw that there was an event on so I went snd did it. Come bk All my resources were gone 😢 I was devastated! I assumed it stays there becos the dead bugs loot stays there 😂 how wrong was I. So it's been a grind again to stack the resources and honestly I've hated it lol 😂

You need Clay and Insect Lymph to make Clay Mortar at the Windmill. Building in Stone requires Clay Mortar, Stone and Wood. Note that's Stone, not Stone Bricks. Stone Bricks are currently only used to build the Stone Oven, Furnace, Forge and Scrying Pool, but not for building any structures, so you only need about 40 Stone Bricks, currently. By the by, the Scrying Pool allows you to change your appearance.

Valheim is good but the pieces are pretty one note, smalland had better selection of roofs and stuff also doesn't turn horrible grey when it's wet

after seeing this game, grounded and ark, i began thinking, am i wrong? i mean, i wanted to play an survival open world game with monsterhunter/dark souls combat, valheim building and ark world lore, am i asking too much? i mean, next there will be the next big survival name, and its gonna be that same basic walk wasd only do basic atacks and tame or kill things to gather stuff

I dont like it, try to make the floors 2 story tall. Also, the wood floor as roof takes damage from storms, it will get destroyed

use roofs instead of floors then loool

@@Jade-PG The problem is sometimes there are not the right pieces to end the roof so you use flat floors to fill in spaces. There is no piece to finish the top nicely on a single square. Also need half stairs and half floors etc.

you can have apoited roof made out of wood and bark? but yeah mayeb soem more for that

@@Jade-PG indeed. yet in your build are rounded floors which are no piece for roof, therefore it will get destroyed with weather. Im testing if the stone floor gets damaged, at the moment it can witstand weather, still traying to prove my claims tho
