If it wasn't for the forced death animation before becoming a seeker, something like Smant getting caught in the moat right next to other hiders would be kinda unfair in these matches. It's basically a useful grace period rule for other hiders and I'm glad it's implemented in the mod by default. :)

I’m not going to spoil it, but if you want to see the next twist, it was revealed after the last hide and seek, you can see it on Amethyst’s channel (amethyst_szs), about 4 hours in, she’s the one who coded the 2D mario in overworld mod, as well as a few other mods like twitch controls SMO, and also takes part in some H&S rounds.

I don't know how easy this would be to mod in, but maybe seekers could have something like a 5% speed boost over hiders so they'll *eventually* catch up if the hiders aren't doing some tricky jumps and jukes to make distance. Like Dead by Daylight but with a bunch of Mario clones.
