Thanks so much for the comment Sandwich! Those words alone make it worth while. I wasn't sure about releasing such a long video in the age of short attention spans but Tim convinced me it was worth the effort.

New subscriber here!!..These minibikes are cool but at $2,300 a piece it seems a little steep..I suppose that New Zealand never had minibikes because of their isolation or if they did, the bikes were imported and then the tariffs and everything else made them unaffordable in the past.. This guy really found a niche and he is doing really well it would seem..
@SmallBikeStuffКүн бұрын
Thanks so much for joining mate. We did get minibikes - Trutest was the main brand here then there was a Kiwi brand in the late 90s. But most of the Hustler bikes actually head overseas!

@@SmallBikeStuff the chassis is 90% complete. I could get it running this weekend. I just need a spare set of hands to hold a camera (I think my mates going to help on Sunday) otherwise the assembly video will be garbage.

Those look so amazing. But i am missing some 2 stroke models. The Ktm & motomorini 50cc china clone engines should work good. Even the Suzuki xn 100cc engine would be a blast in any of them bikes.

Where do you even get Sachs motors these days? There was one of those in my shop class in high school, but never heard it run. My dad bought about 100 NOS Sach lawnmower motors years ago - I put one on my lawnmower. Would have been cool to make a 3-rotor out of them lol. I had a 81' Toyo truck like yours too back in the day ;)

They're hard to find for sure. Tim tracked them down online and managed to secure a few. But once they're gone I'm not sure where he would get more.

1:03:40 What yourself?! But on a more serious note, when & where can you ride these (legally)? Sorry, still have few min to go.
@SmallBikeStuff Жыл бұрын
Haha slip of the tongue we’ll say. These need to be ridden on a private road in Mexico if you catch my drift? Out of the way of others and keeping safe is the best bet with a lack of traditional safety items like lights etc etc.

its a shame tHEY LOOK LIKE 1950 minibike ...they should have a better frame and better wheels and tires , you shoul put a telescopic suspension in the front and brake discs and in the rear wheel please put some susp and some good brakes....that bikes are too cheap and 1950 design
@SmallBikeStuff Жыл бұрын
Each to their own! I prefer the older style. Plus if you watch the whole thing you'll see some cool wheel upgrades. There's plenty of kits out there with suspension if that's your thing.

What’s your point? Have you watched the whole thing? That exact topic is mentioned and there’s a lot of different things being made. It’s not just 1 exact replica being produced.
