Hey Tim! After I left my comment, I decided to see where the closest Stratford homes was. As it turns out, it's just about a 20min drive from me. I never knew it was there lol. They offer this hm. I'd have to have a basement put under it as I need a two bed-1 bath apt for my disabled son and gdaughter. I'll be sure to tell them that you sent me!😁🙋♀️

It blows my mind that this is considered a small home to me this is big and personally this is one of the few homes that feels like it best utilizes the floor plan the best with nearly no wasted space.

Me too! Some refer to it as a weekender, or a second vacation home. Unless you have several kids, why would someone require a bigger home??? For me, this is a large home and a well thought out floor plan.
@jennifer9528 Жыл бұрын
@Lorie Lundgren: you mean, unless you have two or more kids, being opposite genders, why would you need a bigger place? I can tell you right now my 14 y/o daughter is not going to share a room with her 12 y/o brother.

I do like the layout of this weekender ranch. Kitchen is nice and all the windows are wonderful. The 3 things I would like to change in the primary space are switching out the 2 doors onto the deck with a double slider. The pony wall for the stairwell replaced with either plexiglass or Little spindles metal spindles and I like a vestibule at the front door. It helps with regulating the air and bugs. Remove the cabinets from above the washer and dryer, reaching them is a pain. I would like to see in the bathrooms the tub/shower area fully tiled(to the ceiling) and a water closet in the master along with dual sinks (for resale).

Like the exterior. I think that side porch is very nice for any summer day to put a table and couch set out there. Front porch seems pretty unnecessary and a waste of money. Wish the layout was a bit better or a nicer ktichen although everything works fine

Nice size rooms to add additional furniture. Big closets-good! There are places to put sideboards to store dishes. I would use larger furniture, shift that dining room wrap around window. Shift that seating to the front window so that length could fit a long waist level freezer. Lot of wasted space in that kitchen. Could easily handle an island double the size. Same for dining table.

I love the idea where the sink is in front of a window. And and away from anyone seeing too much dishes in your sink. I also love the idea that the stove is off the island and away from anybody who could be sitting around the island and flying grease would be hitting them. It's not like u would be using the stove all the time while it's if it's on the island. ..It's wasting tabletop space. I like the island to be empty and do for other things. Theae are the things you learn when you spend a hellofa lot of time in the kitchen.

I think this one is really cute. The dual doors going out on the big porch would go out to my back yard if I placed this home on NY property so that it would work. Well it actually would face my neighbors I guess. Of we put it towards the front of our property then the other door would be facing our other neighbors I guess. But it is a really cute home.

Floorplan at 2:06 (plan flipped). Dislike the floorplan itself but everything sparkled inside and out. The landscaping is gorgeous, as well. They have a great designer, though I'd hate to have my house surrounded with public looking pathways, lol. Hopefully that patina'd chair they used in the bath was broken instead of using a functional chair. Hurts to think about it.

Hey Timothy! Good video! Nice house. I'm not real fond of wide open floorplans, but this one isn't too bad. As usual, I like, and even love, some of the place, and some I don't! #1) I love that big deck/porch with the door in the living room and one in the dining room. I think I would actually make this my front porch and the glass door to the living room off that porch, would be the front door. I'd probably close off the glass door into the dining room - that's just too many doors close together, with two being in the living room and one right there in the dining room as well. I'd leave that door you used as the front door for an exit door on that side of the house though. Actually I'd make that porch a wraparound porch, going all the way around the house to the garage on each side. Some of it enclosed and some just covered. #2) I love the gas fireplace in the Living Room! Not sure what I'd do with that nook by the door you entered. I kinda like it the way it is, but don't really think we'd use it very often. You could make it a coat closet. You could also make it a computer nook, but I'm kinda claustrophobic, so don't know if I could never use it as such or not if I closed the door, and that close to the living room you couldn't use it without the door being closed unless everyone was wearing headphones! Maybe if I put a window in it? #3) I also love the bench seat in the Dining Room. With the right rectangular table you would have an awesome dining table! #4) I would move the microwave to the corner counter to the left of the cook stove. It's too high for me to reach where it is, and as I can't climb, I can't use a stool to reach it. I love the gas cook stove too! And you are right, those shelves/cabinets in front of the basement area would make a great Pantry! I actually like that island too! I would put wheels on it though so I could move it if need be. I would make the cabinets a darker color, not real dark, but although the light colors look great, they would show every speck of dust or dirt they accumulated! #5) The basement...one end would be used to house my Library Music Studio Office Room, with a small sitting area with a small gas fireplace. The Gym and hobby rooms would be on the other end. And a half bath right in the middle. #6) Don't like barn doors inside! So make the door to the utility room a pocket door if possible, or an accordion door maybe. I think if possible I'd add that first closet section in there to the Pantry. And use the second section as a coat closet. We would, of course, build a garage at that back door. Also build a storage unit inside the garage and probably a bigger Pantry and put a freezer or two in there as well. #7) I like the colors in all the rooms so far! But, as I have already said, I don't like barn doors inside the house. So the barn door in the Master Closet would need to be changed to a pocket door, or sliding doors, or an accordion door. The closet itself is very nice - not as big as some, but a nice size just the same. I have to admit that I am disappointed in the Master Bathroom though. You didn't show exactly what kind of door lead into the bathroom, but it looked like it might be a pocket door, which would be fine. The vanity area was great too. With just one sink there's plenty of counter space! But the commode area would have to be rearranged as there was not even near enough room around the commode for me to be able to use it comfortably! I'd hit the wall on the one side and the counter in the other! Don't like that shower either. Good thing I'd have to change that regardless! I would, of course, put in a handicapped tub/shower combo in place of that shower. Carpets in the living room and bedrooms and sitting area in the Library and the walk areas in there too. Wraparound porches, some enclosed and some just covered, to the garage on each side. Price is not too bad with a basement included, if it is. If the finishing of the basement isn't included, then the price is kinda high. Be glad when things start to go down and stay down - if they ever do! Gas prices did start down, but went back up again. At least around here they did. Again, Timothy, good video! Nice house. God bless you and your family!

Like the layout and open feeling you get when you walk in. The only thing I kind of disliked was how the bedrooms were all close together. Master bedroom, I feel should have been on the opposite side of the home to give it that privacy touch.

Nice place. I'd like the front porch a little deeper. Personally I'd opt for a Coat Closet at the entry. Tiled shower in the Master Bath, not crazy about shower inserts.

I guess prefab homes are getting pricey. Very cute design and layout. We need poured concrete, out here in the islands. If we get a place stateside, how would this do, left standing over winter? Aside from draining the pipes, etc.

$250 K and wire racks, no medicine cabinets, and those three big drawers in the kitchen need to be divided in half. In the pantry are the shelves adjustable to accommodate food processors, blenders and air fryers. I didn't see any plugs in the island or on either of the decks. I hate to say it but might be ok for single retiree who doesn't cook. I only saw one sink in the master bath. I guess my years working as a repo rep for the former Green Tree Finance made me pretty critical.

Apart from being flipped, the house does not quite meet the plan you show. They appear to have shrunken the kitchen or dining room or both to add the pantry and utility closet. At two beds/two baths, it is small but very roomy and feels spacious. Overall, I like this plan. Love the big porches and love the light fixtures. It is not, however, a quarter million-dollar house.
