This video was LIve Chatted during it's premier! Thanks to all who kindly showed up there and now with a view! I keep cranking out hopefully fun and useful content for you dudes. This POF Rogue is a machine and answers our call for LIGHTER, FASTER AR10s...well done POF. Btw do you guys prefer an AR10 or 308 bolt gun with 10 rd magazine? Thanks to my donor Jake for loaning me this gun. Also for all my donors; this video would not exist w/o them. I don’t even have TIER levels there; you can join for just $1 per creation, some guys do $5, most do $15 month. You can also join for free but only full access is given to paying members and it’s those paying members who make all this work. And without good donor base my posting will drop off a lot. POF makes some neat guns (I've owned 3 ar10s) , but their customer service and QC is abhorrent. They sent me a defective Rogue and I sent it back, unfired, for inspection. The customer service guy immediately acknowledged their mistake and they were fixing it - when the owner stepped in and told them I must have "sabatogued" the gun as they would never let one leave like that (barrel nut issue). They said they have QC inspection photos they would share. 2 months later they cut off all comms and sent the gun back. Our Attorney General is after them right now. POF is not the company started by its founder, it's owned by charlatans now. Caveat Emptor.

It really is.......he wanted a DDM4 and traded a bad-ass home build for the P.O.F and man I gotta say, compared to my DD it is softer shooting and very well made. I ain't gonna play the "who's better" game but I will say P.O.F is still killing it.

I picked up a Rogue 308 16in rifle when they first came out in 2020. Picked it up in May and have been deer hunting with it ever since. It’s a fantastic hunting rifle and overall great firearm. I know on YT there have been folks who have had issues with theirs but my Rogue has been rock solid. I replaced the mini brake they have with a thread protector since brakes are just too loud for shooting without ears. It’s not a super precise rifle, but mine is about a 2MOA with Hornady ELDX 178 or FGGM 175. The same ammo in my Savage MSR Hunter is 1 MOA. I do wish they would have put a 1:10 twist barrel instead of a 1:8 twist. The 1:10 has been proven many times over. Overall it’s a great rifle though.

I am also a huge fan of POF but there are some know quality control issues. But if you’re having trouble getting yours to work this may help. On my 6.5 crd revolution this is how I got mine to work. I was having extraction problems the round would be stuck in the chamber and I would have to morter the rifle almost every time I shot it. It also didn’t matter what position I had the adjustable gas system in. So I sent it back to the factory and they replaced the extractor then said it was good. Took it back to the range and had the same problems. Then I decide to replaced the bolt with one that had gas rings. The old one did not have gas rings, yes it’s a piston driven system, some say that it needs gas rings, others say it does not need them. I would say if your having problems doesn’t hurt to have them. I also noticed the bolt fits better in the carrier probably because the gas rings. Also the new firing pen fits much tighter in the bolt. Went and shot 2 mags with different ammo cheap and expensive, at different firing rates. I had zero malfunctions that would never have happened before. If you’re having problems with ejection or extraction I’d try to replace the bolt. And a healthy amount of CLP. Haha also the revolution lower is not as good as the rouges. The ambi mag releases sticks out to much on the gen 4 revolution lower so if your doing pistol transitions or running with it, you might drop the mag. Its a well know problem on most ambi mag releases.

POF makes the gas block for the gas piston with only 5 varients thats pretty simplistic Also if you get the gas piston system the gas plug needs no tools to disasymble for cleaning nor messing up your zero as the gas plug is at the front of the hand guard which falls out after pressing it in and twisting for easy maintenance of your op rod I like not needing a pipe cleaner Easier with more cleaning items scrub and wipe the outside diameter of an op-rod than to toss your soon to be new paperweight at an intended(?) Target

Speaking as a guy who owns several POF piston rifles along with several other piston AR’s along with various 30 cal traditional baffled suppressors the POF Revolution Piston is not the version to get and run suppressed. I’ve even sent mine back to POF and they re barreled and while a little better now it’s still pretty gassy with a Trash Panda or Sandman S or K. If I could buy it again I would go with the Revolution DI variant as it’s got more adjustment options or even better yet replace the dictator gas block with a bleed off adjustable gas block from Superlative Arms. Not only more adjustment but the bleed off is the way to go while running a can.
@chetfriday76366 ай бұрын
@juanthelawnmowerthief1641 Sounds like you have more experience in this arena than I do. My piston revolution has a nomad 30 with the E-Brake and seems to run fine. I am shooting 168gr. Barns TTSX's at 2,600 fps with 1.2 MOA. I practice out to 600 yards with the gun and watched a friend kill a six point bull with one shot two years ago. I think there is a reason most rifles used in combat are piston driven.

Great Vid Nutn’ !! One question - Why is a 300 black out not a competitive option? Is it just the price of ammo?
@Brimwald6 ай бұрын
Different POU. 300 Blk is more home defense or bag gun. You can go very short and retain effectiveness which also makes it a great suppressor host because of the round and how short the gun can be overall. 308 is more for extended range, indoor use doesnt really make sense.
@nutnfancy6 ай бұрын
I like 300 BO a lot. But .308 is more powerful and capable; way better at defeating obstacles, glass, barriers, etc. In a gun this light I wouldn't want it in 300 BO for that reason. Here's my POU video on that caliber: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH-op2aQoLZ6rbs
@JoeWayne846 ай бұрын
Competitive shooters are using generally 6mm boutique loads today … 6dasher 6bt etc… 300aac(blackout) is using a 7.62 and the bullets don’t have the ballistic coefficient (aerodynamics) that the 6mm offers in intermediate /short actions offer. Also recoil the larger diameter of the projectile generally the more recoil you will have every thing else equal. Cost of ammo as far as the competitive scene isn’t an issue.., it’s like racing cars the people who are really competing spend money on there hobby and if they could get a edge will gladly swipe the credit card haha… also they spend more handloading there ammo to compete with than factory loaded 300aac.. the 6mm creedmoor are the 6mm ARC are the two newer factory loaded options for competition shooting that simulate the popular competition options the last decade now. 300aac is really only effective for 150 yards as far as where the drop off in velocity becomes a issue with being precise. It was designed to be a pistol caliber replacement for sub machine guns that would be better than 9mm. And for that it is amazing and it also is almost as good as say a 30-30 or 7.62x39 for hunting … so to have a sub gun that can also take a deer within 100 yards is a nice bonus but first and foremost it should be considered a close range sub gun caliber. If you were wanting something to really hunt with there are better options in the intermediate cartridge length … today the 350 legend would maybe be my first choice . But if I was wanting a good hunting option I would go with a short action in 308 ,7mm-08,6.5 creedmoor, 6 creedmoor, are 243 win. … those be my choice today in that order for a short action hunting rifle. I like 308 mainly due to ammo availability and I have bunch of 308 rifles and ammo already so I like to keep everything simple. The 308 and 300aac use the same bullets so reloading makes it nice. But starting new I might go with the newer creedmoor options especially if I wasn’t planning on reloading you can buy that ammo today factory loaded and if you aren’t planning on shooting 1,000s of rounds the price difference isn’t to crazy now. But if you already got a 300aac get a box of federal fusion and take a deer with it it will do the job for sure it’s just a risky shot over 150 yards .. as far as competition I’d get a 556 are 223wylde upper and just go check out your local scene that be the cheapest way to compete and not be outclassed beyond belief people sleep on 223 /556 because it is so common but it is a very capable and accurate round and it’s very affordable you can get factory match loads under $1 a round nowdays regularly and go run some competitions and work on building up your other equipment like optic rails bipods slings etc… that stuff is I would argue more important than anything else a barrel change and bolt and you can change to a boutique caliber for competition if it’s something you get into and enjoy. Good luck
@vensheaalara5 ай бұрын
.300 max effective range is MUCH shorter than .308. You start seeing pretty extreme drop off at 300 yds. You can maybe change this with higher velocity ammo, but the whole point of .300 blk is to be quiet. Not the same purpose.

3 inch MOA is pretty much what US Army .308 SPRs do and are expected to do. Forward assists are a must for me on ARs, worth the weight imo. I won't buy one that doesn't have one.

Not the lightest AR10 compared to the ROAM or NightHawk but probably the lightest affordable AR10. It is a Jeff Cooper Scout Rifle that he didn’t live to see.

very nice :) @37:35 oo, i would like a ceramic version :) I don't need all the extra bs (cost) on it, just make it look somewhat discrete and easy to attach to the seat.

The back of the MFT stock does NOT break when mortaring. Instead, it's the stock adjustment lever that breaks right where the pivot pin goes through it. I've never seen any credible evidence of the back of the stock breaking without something else breaking first, like the buffer tube or the buffer tube breaking the back where it goes through the stock. In fact, there's a video of a person trying to snap the back off. He did, after repeatedly hitting it with a heavy mallet, but like I said, other parts broke first.

6.5 creedmoor is pretty much the same price now as 308 and it's in large cases, This is really perfect for 6.5cm

I’ve been subscribed to you on rumble for over a year. Have not seen a new video ever. Think you need to figure out what is going on with your interface with their system. Your videos are getting posted over there.

Not sure I'd put an LPVO on this gun. They tend to be pretty heavy (it takes lot of glass to get even good 1x-6x performance, let alone 1x-10x) and this gun's main attraction is weight. Fixed power prism optics like the ACOG or the Primary Arms 5x micro-prism would probably be a better fit, and are lighter than any decent LPVO I know of, even with an offset or top-mount micro RDS. For the "good" accuracy of the Rogue, a high-power scope for +500yd ranges might be wasted capability (although my 28 year old eyes might think differently once they have the same milage as yours...). Great review and I now really want a Rogue
