I think Joel has always been one of the better PvPers of the Life series, he just tends to be a little too reckless. Combine that with a power that makes him really hard to lock down this session and he's in a really good place. Plus, Gem and Joel have kind of an interesting dynamic, they can both be chaos gremlins, but they're both competitive in a way that makes them both play a little smarter. Maybe like their chaos kind of cancels out? I think it's a big factor for how well they've done this season.

Only when ganging up, though, which is a decent balance for how hard it was to catch some of the other players/power sets. Plus the resistance they get when swapped is why they live for so long, there are several ways out that probably would have worked if people had prepped for it.

You should have the door trigger the other way. You have it permanently open, you walk through with someone chasing you, you close it, they open it which then triggers it and they fall. You just need to make sure you're quick enough to not fall into the trap too.
