@@SmallRobotStudio Thanks Erika, I’ll do that when I have something actually finished and I’ve mastered Nomad...could be a while. As a beginner I’m having two recurring issues, losing my point of symmetry and putting it back manually with the gizmo, the other is colouring my sculpt as I’d like it. PBR and Matcap seem to dramatically influence the colour you are trying to achieve. I need to go over your previous tutorials! 😂
@SmallRobotStudio3 жыл бұрын
@@Stressbreaker999 I'll look forward to what magical sculpts you are creating :D Maybe for the symmetry if you move your geometry away from the center go into the symmetry menu and check Local instead of Global. It should automatically calculate with so you don't have to do it manually. The Gizmo as well if it is set (on the side buttons) to auto it should calculate the exact center of that geometry. Matcaps will definitely affect your colors, the base color of the matcap is your 'white' any extra color is mixed with that with 'multiply' in brief it makes them darker and tinted. In case you are interested we made a bunch of MatCaps and I designed some for painting (white with subtle lights and shadows). We have the collection in our Gumroad and Patreon or you can try 3 for free in this link :D www.patreon.com/posts/matcaps-46349078?

@@SmallRobotStudio Well I would love to see some more character modeling. I'm haveing problems making the inside of the mouth and teeth. As I need to make a model that is able to emote and talk for an animation
@SmallRobotStudio3 жыл бұрын
@@Rinkyu that is a good idea I haven't tackled that topic with great detail. I made a video on retopologizing a head. I brielfly talk about the inside or the eyes and mouth so they are animation ready. I made substractions for the cavity of the eyes, for the mouth I'd sculpt it slightly open and do the same to obtain an inside hollow. I will add to the list a video dedicated to this topic but hopefully this other video can help. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4eUcoGPZ7qBbpY

I just purchased the file hoping it would outline the steps though Im still having issues. When you are boxing the sphere how do you outline it so it boxes symmetrically? I can lower the resolution though my sphere is more of a pizza slice instead of how yours looks, even when going super slow I cant seem to do what your doing or even figure out how you are doing it

I can’t tell how you bent the palm inwards using the mask tool. I’m new to this, and you went through that part kinda fast LOL. It’s a great video though
@SmallRobotStudio3 жыл бұрын
I made a mask of only the very center vertices, then I inverted it, blurred it and then moved them with the Gizmo. I used the mask shortcuts for those actions, but in the top right under the selected tools settings there are buttons to do the same thing. I also review them in my masking video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZSmoqCjbcatY5I

I think you mean carpals and metacarpals not carpal tunnel as that's a medical condition.
@SmallRobotStudio3 жыл бұрын
The Carpal Tunnel is the passage surrounded by the carpal bones. The medical condition triggered by the inflamation of the tendons that travel through that cavity is known as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It is coloquially refered only as Carpal Tunnel. I used the Britannica online and Eliot Goldfinger's Human Anatomy book as references in case you want to check them. :)
