Back in the early 80’s when I was a little girl, my Grandparents took me up to see Mt. St. Helens. We parked up at the view site and hiked and stared at the destruction of the Eruption a few years before. We stayed until it was nearly dark and we’re the last vehicle leaving. There was a truck that started out of the lot and headed down the mountain about 1 minute ahead of us. We started down the steep and windy mountain road with no sign of any other people or cars. We made it 1/3 of the way down and saw tail lights ahead in the darkness. It was the truck, something must have made them stop. As we pulled up behind the idling truck, it drove forward over some kind of bump in the road. As it drove on, we saw that the bump they drove over was a Street Sign that was laying lengthwise across both lanes. My grandparents were concerned about why it was there and that they had to move it to avoid damaging the car. So my Grandfather got out and drug the sign to the side of the road. As we continued driving we saw tail lights ahead again, but the truck just slowed down and didn’t stop. As we came up to where we saw the truck slow again we saw Another street sign laying across the lanes. My grandfather stopped and talked with my grandmother about how strange it was and they wondered if there had been some sort of accident. We all had the creeps but my grandfather got out and started dragging the sign off the road again. My grandmother rolled her window down and so did I. We wanted to hear grandpa as he called out down the mountain “Hello? Is anyone there?” We heard a crunching sound through the silence. It was coming from just down the nearly Vertical slope off the road. He called out again and then there was another crunch, like something big was taking a step. We heard more crunching and what ever it was was getting closer and faster. My grandmother screamed at my grandfather “Tommy Get it the Car! GET IN THE CAR!!” Meanwhile the sound of crunching kept coming up the side. He ran and jumped in the car as we rolled our windows up!! We tore out of there as fast as he could drive and as we sped off I peaked up over the backseat and briefly highlighted in the red of our tail lights I saw the shape of what I thought was a Huge Man!! At first the figure came up over the lip of the road on all fours. As it started to stand up on its hind legs, it kept standing Up and Up and Up! It looked like a huge bark covered Man (like the gnarled bark of a huge tree) and then realized it was hair. I was Terrified!!!! I screamed and screamed and told them I saw something!! We got to the base of the mountain and found a gas station and had the Clerk call 911. The clerk said that a couple in a truck had stopped and reported that street signs had been snapped off at the base and laid across the road too. Everyone was all worked up about it (which being a child terrified me because I’d seen what ever it was, but they all just thought it was my imagination) A policeman came and talked to my grandparents and then said he would be back. We waited a long time. When he got back he had a really strange look on his face and told us at first he didn’t see Any signs laying on the side of the road where we last saw them. But he noticed a crooked sign and when he inspected it he found that his was not where it should have been standing and that it had been Snapped off and then jammed Upright into the dirt in a totally different spot. He said he could see that it had just been snapped off because it had no markings of being hit by a vehicle or pulled by a chain. We were all dumbfounded. I wanted to talk about it all the way home. I had a Billion questions, but they barely said anything. They were unusually quiet. It wasn’t until I was a few years older that we talked about it and I said that I definitely saw something and wanted to know what they thought about Bigfoot? They lit up and said that’s exactly what they had talked with the policeman about, but that I was too young and they didn’t want me to have nightmares. They wanted me to think that what I saw in the red glow of our tail lights was my imagination instead of a Real Living Beast that almost got its hands on us. )

I remember one time back in the 60's my family and I was visiting my Dad's brother in Eatern West Virgina and we were told that if we had to go to the bathroom we were told to tell Uncle Howard that and wait for him or my Dad to go out with us. Understand my Uncle had a outhouse at that time and it was about 25 yards from the back porch. One night I had to go and decide not bother them so I went out to it by my self. While I was in the outhouse I heard something come up the side on the mountain behind me and I still remember hearing sniff around me and then saw what looked like a hand or a paw at the top of the door. I screamed and my Dad and Uncle came running out to see what the hell was going on. They both had a shotgun and fired them in the air. I didn't wait to be told to run because I was out that door and going past them and back into the house. I don't know if it was a bigfoot or what my uncle called a "wood booger" but whatever it was scared the hell out of me. I never went back out to the outhouse at night without telling them first. I am not 68 yoa and still remember it clearly.

In the summer of 1972, on a sunny day, my cousin and I were driving up to Lake Pend O'reille, Idaho on the four lane highway going into Farragut State Park. On the left side of the highway walking out between two homes and past a mailbox, a large ape type creature approximately 8 feet tall with long hair over its entire body that was medium grey in color, continued walking up right out into the highway. Oddly, my car was the only car on the road. I said to my cousin, "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" She said, "Yes!" It was walking about 40 feet in front of my car. I stopped my car, and we watched it walk across the highway. It stopped in the center of the four lanes, turned its head towards us, looked at us, and then continued walking faster across the highway into the tree line on the right side of the highway. We both know what we saw. We don't care if anyone believes our story. We will never forget what we saw.

My grandmother told me of a "skunk man" that lived in the woods around their rural community in the mid to late 30s. Summers county WV...what is now the Bluestone Lake area. She said it never harmed anyone...it would sometimes throw rocks at the small children as if wanting to play with them. She said it would just be around the area watching what everyone was doing and people even fed it. She did say that it had a horrible smell and you always knew when it was close by.

Excellent documentary! You guys did a great job of highlighting the history and forefathers of Bigfoot research. The awesome thing about this time we're living in is the accumulation of over one hundred years of data, and new, young perspectives evaluating and adjusting methods. I live in Washington State on the East side, but I have traveled to the HOH Rainforest and Forks. The HOH is a primeval forest, and not to sound weird, but there is magic there and a feeling that you don't get anywhere else. You all are so close to cracking this!

Bigfoot (call them, Sabe or Sasquatch), these beings deserve dignity, and "Bigfoot" just doesn't seem to legitimize their existence. What's key about the Ape Canyon story is that when you get the full details instead of the sensationalized version, it becomes apparent that the attack wasn't unprovoked at all like a lot of people make it sound -- it was 100% a retaliation for something the miners did. They're lucky they didn't become part of the Missing 411. I also don't put much stock in the whole connection between sasquatch and UFOs. Sightings of both can happen at the same time, obviously, but I don't think there's any real connection between them. It's like accusing a bear of being an alien just because you saw a bear during a UFO encounter.

My ex grew up in Portsmouth Ohio and there was a legend about “Old Poke Nose” kids were cautioned about being near the woods at night. My ex would camp in the woods with his friends when he was 10-12 years old. He was camping one summer and he was walking a river bed to fish and he looked down into the river bed from a rise above the river bed into a toppled over tree and in the hollowed out tree, crouching and trying to stay out of site was a Sasquatch. He said he was so scared but looking into it’s face he was paralyzed for a few minutes. He said he just stared at it and it stared at him but didn’t make a sound…he said it was huge and had dark black brown hair but a very human like face. After a couple of minutes he just took off running and had never told anyone until he told me. He is not a believer in anything of this type so I really believed him.

I grew up just 12 miles from gallipolis Ohio my whole life and had a crazy encounter when I was a kid when I lived on the edge of Wayne national wild life area. Then 30 years later had another encounter with couple buddies with me while at a place in the woods within 5 miles of where I had lived as a kid. My buddies will never go back unless they are armed for sure cause it scared them all really bad. They probably didn't believe me until that moment. When your in the woods and everything shuts up for like 2 miles and you can hear a fart 2 miles away you know that something is really off. Wish I could put the whole story on here but not in the comments so maybe I need to submit it to one of these so they can share it.

Excellent documentary...great work 😁I live in Australia and I call it Bigfoot. I am also Indigenous to this country. In far north Queensland in a small town called Babinda he has been sighted near the foothills. A friend has a 2 story house near one of the small mountains. One late afternoon she was sitting on her back steps talking to her husband who was under the house working on their car. As she look towards the bush (thick trees) she saw 2 orange eyes looking at her. She wasn't sure what she was seeing until the eyes blinked. She instantly knew. There have been numerous events at her house. While having tea with a friend upstairs one day, the friend saw this huge hairy man walking past her shed. When they went down to guess how tall it may have been, they estimated around 8 feet tall. Also one night she left her nephew alone at home while she went away. He was in the lounge watching tv and suddenly heard this loud stomping up the back stairs. He was terrified and ran into the bedroom to lock himself in. He heard this creature bang at the back door, then called his Aunty nearly in tears. He wouldn't leave the room until she got home. Heaps more stories to share from here in Australia.

Some people wanted me to tell this in the comments so here it goes. It was around 1985 or so and I lived with my grandmother right on the edge of Wayne national forest in Southern Ohio. We had just moved into a new place across the street from my aunt. We really didn't even have everything settled or unpacked and I was young like 6 maybe. I woke one night in the middle of the night and went to use the bathroom. I did my thing and came back to bed, then I just had an odd feeling like something was watching me. There was a window by my bed that I had just walked by twice but was half asleep so didn't pay attention to it. Well I rolled over onto my back and looked over a little to my left and there was a huge shadow at the window that was shaped like a huge man. I say shadow cause at first I really thought that's what it was cause it was pitch black with no details. Well the longer I looked at it the more I realized that it wasn't a shadow cause I couldn't see anything thru it. I was frozen with fear and couldn't even move to do anything. Everything went thru my head like is this my cousin trying to scare me but wait he isn't anywhere that big. The whole time this thing never moved at all it just stood there looking at me. We looked at each other so long without moving I actually started to calm down a little bit. Then this thing turned to where it was sideways to me then took one step and was gone from the window. I was so freaked out when this happened cause then I knew it was real and the only thing I could think was omg it's going around back to come in the back door. I layed there just waiting to hear the back door get ripped open but nothing it was just silent. Now I wanna say this about what I saw, I was young and had no clue what Bigfoot even was. No body had ever talked about one or anything around me so I had no clue what this was. We lived in a double wide trailer and the windows didn't even start till like 5 foot or more off the ground and this things 😢head was all the way at the top of the window and it's shoulders was as wide as the window. Fast forward like 2 or 3 years later and I was in school like first or second grade and I had a buddy that was telling me a story about Bigfoot. I said wait what's Bigfoot lol, he tells me what it is and that his mother sees them all the time in their backyard at their house. She drew all kinds of pictures of what she had seen and he brought them to school the next day. I knew then what I saw standing at my window watching me was a Bigfoot. It's funny cause this video actually mentions Gallipolis Ohio and that's where this happened about 12 miles away from where they talk about on here. There is 144,000 square acres of wildlife land out there so plenty of room for these things to do whatever they want and probably hardly be seen. I had told some people about this story and they just always thought I was full of it probably. One day me and some buddies went out to a big huge rock in Wayne national forest to hang out. Well we had another encounter out there like 30 years later and it was only like 5 miles from where I had my first encounter as a kid but this time I wasn't alone and let's just say they definitely believe me now and will not ever go back out there without a big gun lol.

I believe a "sting" style camp (tent set up with light in tent fire lit and a speaker playimg music and/or noises etc to draw something in) would be the best way to catch on close up on multiple cameras all convertly covering the camp while observing from a distance. Thermal, 4k and motion sensors etc. The full works. My honest opinion anyway 🤔 Small town monsters are by far the best production team dealing with this subject. Love the content guys

I like the Idea of using 4 8mm cameras back to back like a cross inside of one of those camouflage see through (from the inside type blinds). Those are amazing for hunting. It's like your outside but in a tent. Then set camp up around it cook light music so on...

@@fenderbender8132 That is the perfect setup yes definitely. Even stack 4 thermal and then 4 digital night vision (to get as much detail as possible). So you would have one of each on top of each other covering 360 degrees. Perfect

I watched the newest release here, I have to say that your productions are always first rate in video and audio quality. I watch them mostly for the nice wild vistas. Your stories are mostly pretty good. As someone who was raised on a farm 20 miles from Salt Fork Nature area, I have never seen anything out of the ordinary in the area in my 65 years. Pretty hard for me to believe these are more than stories. Your Kentucky thermal video from the parking area to the side of the hill....looked like a stray cow to me.

My encounters happend in southern Indiana. Once when i was around 8 or 9 and the other as an adult. My mother and father have both had their own experiences. I think, that it is not only that people dont want the attention in their "backyard", but at least for me I took the experiences as very special and sacred. Its something that most people will never encounter. Maybe thats selfish, but they are events in my life that I will respect and cherish.

I love the premise and the audio and video are quite professionally done. I myself just wish there was more time devoted to the actual investigation like night time walking around/ trail cams/infrared shots/ drone footage/ that is the meat o0f this to me. I like some witness stories but i dont need to see breakfast getting cooked or hookey roadside attractions ill visit south of the border for that. I just wish it were a little more like expedition bigfoot from an investigation perspective. Trust wise i trust these guys way more then Russel. Potatoes are good but i need Beef in my bigfoot investigations not the car traveling down the road filler footage...What you do / you do it well. It would be nice to see a couple monsters on thermal and the desert eagle ready if need be..

I love Bigfoot because I'm really drawn to the culture, folklore, and feeling of mystery, but just being honest as a computer scientist that also took a lot of zoology courses in university an interest, it's pretty much been disproven by this point so any kind of investigation is pretty pointless.

Maybe people will believe one day, now with all the alien stuff coming to light. I have seen two of them, had rocks thrown at me, been "escorted" out of the woods by one. The place was Beaver Creek State park. I spent 7/8 yrs as a teen/young adult in those woods mostly everyday, all spring/summer/fall, mostly just to not be home. Sometimes with the local group of neighborhood friends running around playing different kinds of "war games" & sometimes by myself just to get away once in a while. Spending that amount of time out there led to some really weird moments that we didn't know what was going on. Now that I know different behaviors of these creatures it explains a lot of what happened to us as kids. The moment of realization was stunning.

I can understand the reticence in reporting sightings, due to official resistance and even derision. Even when dealing with known animal species that may be out of their known territories. Many years ago, I was scouting for a hunting spot to take my teenage son to, a nice long-oval meadow planted with deer fodder and surrounded by forest. At the eastern end of the meadow there was a game trail that I had been watching with binoculars, waiting to see if there was any deer activity. Just as sunset was approaching, I saw a flash of fawn-colored movement at the trail head. The animal paused, scanning the meadow and evidently didn't spot me hidden near the top of the meadow in the bushes, then it walked out into the open. With the binoculars, I could see a full-grown mountain lion. I was stunned--the public has been told that mountain lions were hunted to extinction in our area (southern mid-west) I watched that cat walk the length of the meadow and past me, finally exiting the meadow, so I got to watch it for nearly a full seven minutes. When I got home, I called our head wildlife officer and told him, and he proceeded to tell me I had to have "misidentified" another type of animal, because it was impossible for me to have seen a mountain lion. We just don't have them here! he said. Today, 35 years later, I hear of mountain lion sightings about twice a year, by farmers, ranchers, fishermen, all sorts of people, yet our Fish and Game people continue to deny that they are back in our area. We even have reports of large black cats, which nobody official will admit to, despite there being at least four or five exotic animal zoos/refuges in the eastern side of our state that they could have escaped from. If you've seen the "Tiger King" series on Netflix, that's one of them! So I can completely commiserate with folks that report an animal species that hasn't been catalogued in North America. I've never seen a Sasquatch, heard one or found a footprint, but I've seen enough evidence from others that I do think it's possible and deserves investigation. Thank you. EDIT: spelling/grammar.
