Small Town Monsters heads to the frozen vistas of the 49th state with On the Trail of Bigfoot: Last Frontier. The first 2023 Small Town Monsters docudrama features in-depth interviews with locals and a heavy focus on the Indigenous peoples who first called the land home. Focusing on evidence and encounters with the legendary Sasquatch, On the Trail of Bigfoot: Last Frontier aims to give audiences the most cohesive look at Alaskan Sasquatch lore.
On the Trail of Bigfoot: Last Frontier was shot over several months in the Alaskan wilderness, concurrently with upcoming Small Town Monsters projects Land of the Missing and Bigfoot: Beyond the Trail: Alaskan Coastal Sasquatch, to be released later in 2023. Each production will take a different look at the lore of the monsters believed to be living in the snow, offering the most comprehensive view of the evidence.
Audio evidence presented includes eerie recordings which seem to capture a baby crying deep in the remote, coastal regions of Alaska, along with numerous howls, whoops, tree knocks, and more. The baby-crying audio is particularly unnerving as it has been referenced numerous times in Alaskan native lore as being a tactic employed by Bigfoot to lure its victims into the woods.
Alaska might not seem to be the ideal locale to search for Bigfoot. With its frigid temperatures, hard-to-navigate environments, and endless acres of wild lands, the quarry (in this case a hairy, ape-like creature) would neatly fit into the needle-in-a-haystack analogy. Yet, despite all it has going against it, Alaska does appear to be home to the hairy hominid. Hundreds of eyewitness reports, dozens of intriguing footprints, audio samples, and even video, seem to show that the creature known as Sasquatch is well at home in the land of the midnight sun.

The main topic of Sasquatch is always interesting but I also enjoy the scenery, the visuals and description of the area being discussed. Thank you for conveying the spirit of Alaska for those of us who will not likely ever see it in person.

I'm normal too but I've had 7 run in's olin sierras over 10 years, there here I'm FL too. Besides that I've seen ghosts and shadow people, UFOs and aliens walk live among us. The older you grow the more you travel and pay attention the more you learn. It's just hard to understand most humans have to see to believe it. Yet I promise it's all true. I've seriously come to accept a lot in life at this point. There's a lot of things I believe in just haven't seen them. The world is a big place. You should take these myths to be true because a lot of them are.

I agree 100% that the key to really understanding Bigfoot is in the Native American experience. Many years ago I worked with a woman of First Nation ancestry. The subject of Sasquatch once came up in conversation, and she told me that when she was a little girl, there had been a Bigfoot sighting in town near to where she lived in WA State. She was very close to her grandmother, and asked her about Sasquatch. Her grandmother told her, "O, we don't bother those people. We have lived with them a very long time. We let them be, and they let us be." I’ve never forgotten that.

Native Americans/First Nations knew them well and saw them regularly precisely for that reason - they left each other alone. They did that because they collectively and harmoniously respected Mother Earth and all her creatures. They don't harm, they don't waste; they honor and deeply appreciate. Then we came along and f'd it all up, please excuse the language. If I were a Sasquatch, I'd run as far, and hide as well as I could from us too. So do they exist? You best believe they do. But we don't deserve to know them.

@jknga5869 You would think the genetics / bloodline would have thinned out since then.? If the original fallen angels bred with humans. Sasquatch is offspring from that.? Is that what you are saying.?

The instant that they say it exists, then they would be the most protected species in the history of mankind. No more mining where they live. No more oil or natural gas drilling where they live. No more forestry... nothing because now the places where they dwell would be protected under federal and state laws.

I live in Knoxville TN and go trout fishing in the Cherokee national forest around the Bald River falls area and the green cove campground area and have seen and interacted with a family unit a few times. I've had them come to within 10ft from me and have given them my fish. They are so beautiful and i thank God for giving me the honor of seeing them up close. I will never try to take a picture of them. I will never tell the exact location they are at, but I see them Everytime i go now because they must remember me giving them my fish. This group is very friendly to me and always show themselves to me. Some things i will keep silent about our interactions together. They need to be left alone, they are not an animal they are a people and have a language.

I love your videos. I'm watching this video. Someone else probably already said it, but though Anchorage is by far largest city in Alaska, it is not the Capitol. Juneau is the Capitol. They've tried to move it to Anchorage a few times for better accessibility to our government, but it is always defeated. Juneau isn't accessible by road, only boat or plane. So it's hard to get to our government face to face. Not ideal. Thank you for your programs!

The fact that we can't find deceased remains, their ability to hide and even their behavior gives me a sense that they are not like other animals even the great apes. It's almost like their thought processes are more akin to ours than the ape. They've had a lot of time to learn how to avoid us.
@kymmoore853
@kymmoore853 3 ай бұрын
The lack of deceased remains is very easily explained; it’s the same for many creatures. I live in an area with a *massive* deer population and it’s _incredibly_ rare that I encounter live deer when I’m hiking about, to date I’ve never even found an antler!
@MrGarymuldoon
@MrGarymuldoon 2 ай бұрын
Remains are extremely rare for any predators. Been in the bush my entire life and never came across a single bear, wolf, cat carcass or bones etc. and there’s 100’s of thousands up here. Now look at a species with a population less than a 10th a percent of that much more intelligent.

At the age of 11 or 12 on a camping trip in Zanesville Ohio at the strip mines where the campsites are we were at camp site D. Back up on and hill in the woods , me and two others went on a hike, no trail to walk on, came upon a little clearing where it was wet. To make along story short, two tracks ! Well, we went back and got our dads . Took them there and showed them, they were outdoors man for years, hunting and fishing, one was a taxidermist. My uncle had a tape Measure with him at all times, one of those type of guys, the tracks 15” long 10” wide , a right and left track, around 6’ toe to heel. We went back to camp, told to stay around camp and my uncle packed up the next morning and never went back after that. That area has been stripped again, things are definitely different now. One day I’ll go back to see if I can find some more, that would be awesome. I’m 60 now and I will never forget the look on my dad and uncle face when they seen the prints, priceless!

Bigfoot - still the reigning World Champion Of Hide And Seek . As a lifelong Alaskan I applaude the cinematography of your work and thank you for promoting our local tourism economy. I personally have never seen anything paranormal and neither have my friends or family. Obviously I don't represent every Alaskan - but I am open to new experiences. Afterall witnessing the Northern Lights can feel almost paranormal. I'm sure it's been commented on here - but Anchorage is not the capitol city - Juneau is. Edit: I am not sure if this counts as parnormal but a few years back I heard strange sounds coming from the sky - to me it sounded like metal scraping the bottom of a swimming pool - being dragged across it. The strange part is that it could be heard all over the city - from Upper Hillside to Government Hill - researchers have yet to determine what that sound was. Here is a video to the sound kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6vLlZ-FaJp_p6M&ab_channel=Tukker_Barnes

This species isn't paranormal or supernatural so you need to drop that attitude and point of view. Not sure where your getting that idea but if you actually researched this topic off youtube and read older books by OG researchers you'd understand that. Coming in to the topic with a preconceived notion that these beings are supernatural is automatically going to make you highly skeptical and thinking they don't exist.
@GilbertSyndrome
@GilbertSyndrome 8 ай бұрын
@@unropednope4644That was a very emotional response, are you okay? Ironically, a large chunk of "Bigfoot" lore and stories are firmly wrapped in a clearly paranormal slant. Many modern "Bigfoot researchers" choose to avoid any paranormal phenomena because they feel that Bigfoot as a biological being is more believable. Well, none of it is believable at this point, but I'd give the "paranormal" angle a little more credence, though I don't particularly believe in the paranormal. There's absolutely no credible evidence for a species of unknown hominid living anywhere on earth. If you disagree with this fairly accurate information, you either do not understand what evidence science needs, or you simply do not understand how science itself operates. With each passing year, the idea of there being a species of unknown hominid living alongside us becomes more and more ridiculous. But you're entitled to believe whatever you like. 🤷

Best documentary to date guys! Beyond well done; absoloutely everything came together here. Seth, I prefer your narration to all others. The witnesses encounters, a focal point dealing with natives to the land, the music, cinemeaography, evrything about this.. wow.

What a sweet old lady @33:32 in Australia they have been described exactly as what she had seen of its features red eyes sometimes yellow, skin was the same as she described weathering of it,and I think she was also describing the hair around it's eyes,one of our witnesses described the hair around the eyes being similar a Shitsu orangey,I think it's from the tears that causes that.We've had a witness report at a water fall in New South Wales Australia where a single mother took her young daughter and her friend and young son,in Spring time it was a hot day,the kids went for a swim,and the lady and the kids described hearing the sound of a young child crying,and the mother was concerned that a child had been lost,as when they arrived at the car park they saw an abandoned car,with everthing strewn all over the floor,then the crying stopped,and all of a sudden there was this almighty raw and growl,and she saw a large tree snap at it top part,and she said the sound just reverberated around the walls of the water fall,she paniced grabbed the kids and ran for the car.

ANCHORAGE IS NOT THE CAPITOL OF ALASKA or is it??? I always thought it was Juneau.... I checked numerous resources and all confirm that JUNEAU and NOT ANCHORAGE IS THE CAPITOL of ALASKA. Perhap due to Juneau being less accessible, meaning there are no roads, highways into or out of Juneau....Boat-Water or flying into Juneau is the only option... I was offered a job in Juneau this past summer but turned it down because I realized I would have to start completely over again with furniture, vehicles, personal items, etc beyond what could afford to have shipped and that living there is likely extremely expensive...Obviously a beautiful place....and while I would never wish to cross paths with a brown or black bear, wolves, moose, other large mammals....I would be most concerned about Sasquatch....If I had these desires 10-15 years ago I would have...but now, I'm approaching 60yrs old and doubt my body would allow me to keep up and really enjoy the area....although, I've always wanted to have access or own land near or within sight of snow capped mountains. ps. I always wondered where Area A was located and assumed it was near the Kenai peninsula but wasn't certain until RobRoy stated, "...my buddy's cabin, near Seward..."....

I cannot agree with the statement that the Aleutian Islands are outside the main habitat of bigfoot. One of the main routes of HIS migration from Eurasia to North America passed through the Aleutian Islands and the Commander Islands, and perhaps still does. He's a great swimmer. For example, it lives on the Japanese Islands, on Sakhalin Island, and in Australia. He can swim tens of kilometers, like a polar bear. That's how he appears on the islands. Among the indigenous inhabitants of the Japanese Islands and Sakhalin Island, the Ainu, the bear occupies a leading place in culture, as the ancestor of their kind. The similarity of the animal's skeleton to a human one is indicated. Perhaps there is some kind of involuntary mistake, or a magical transformation of a bear into a human is allowed. But there is no need for such a reincarnation, if you remember the bear-like and human-like sasquatch)). The Ainu revere the guests to no lesser extent. Cryptozoologists have noticed that the words "bear", "god", "guest" of the Ainu sound the same. It has been suggested that we are talking about a sasquatch who could cross the sea straits. He was revered. Women were given to him as a sacrifice to God and a guest. This is not an isolated phenomenon. There is information that the Polar Urals region is home to some of the largest Sasquatch, whose height reaches 4 meters or more. Footprints 1 meter long were reported. Locals call them Tungu, Sudbi, Kul, Menkv, Utti. These creatures are important characters in folklore, culture and religion of the local peoples. There are many local fairy tales about them and with their participation. Almost everywhere they are presented to local people as insidious, huge, but stupid cannibals, often imitating human movements. It is believed that they differ in behavior and in the number of toes. There is unverified information that speaks of a race of ape-like giants, humanoid giants and hybrids of these two races, very ugly in appearance. Locals reported that the giants are very omnivorous. They can feed on lichens that grow on rocks, which from a distance looks like eating rocks. The researchers tasted these lichens, they are edible. In winter, Sasquatches from the lowlands adjacent to the Ural Mountains go into the mountains. They occupy places among the rocks above the trails of wild and domestic reindeer, which they know very well. They feed on the prey of reindeer meat, which they kill by hiding, rapid pursuit and shaking their heads with a fracture of the cervical vertebrae. The locals know the trails and places of ambushes for deer, which are arranged by Tungu in the mountains, but they are afraid to talk about them. Thus, in winter, toungoo behaves like a predator.

You're not alone. I also caught it. It's a pretty massive oversight in the recording/editing process. Reminds me of the one where he mentioned Boston and Hartford as being close to the Berkshire mountains when there's a fairly large (for the region) metro area 30 miles closer than Hartford and nearly 100 miles closer than Boston that went completely unmentioned lol

Listen at 1:09:36-1:09:40 and then listen at 1:10:15-1:10:22 and you can clearly tell that the vocal range is the same and could easily change pitch to make a change in sounds. From clear to baby crying, that is freaky.
