If you watch Clark’s birthday party back in season 5, Lois bought him a journal because she felt he kept a lot to himself. Again in season 9 she told him to keep the mystery. She knew she was being lied to, she just never pushed him. Lois trusted him and waited for him to let her in. The writers and actors really did a great job with this story.

Yeah I liked Lana and clark but I also like Lois and clark you can see in Lana and clark’s relationship things weren’t Great they were always lying to each other in the earlier seasons yes I wanted them to have at least some screen time as they were dating but the show shows that Lana and clark weren’t meant to be and I see some people say “why didn’t Lana end up with clark to bad they had to follow the stupid comics” it’s a Superman Origin story so yes they had to follow the Comics

Clark used the legion ring to reverse time... he could of went all the way back before Lana put the suit on. When he was faced with a choice with Lana and green k, he told her she had to do it... without much thought. When faced with the choice of Lois or the daily planet globe... he choose to save Lois first... without any thought. If Lois had of been involved in any type of kryptonite bomb issues like Lana was. Clark would of died getting rid of it before he gave Lois away like that... and that’s proven in the comics.

lois always knew clark was different, but never push him to tell her, unlike the chloe and lana who always tried poking it out of him. she accepted that he kept secrets for a reason and she trusted him that i was for the best. that's why clois will always and forever be meant for each other.

Ok. I now understand what Clark was saying about Lois "always" knowing when he is lying. A lot of ppl said that was false, given that he has Lied to her for YEARS - I was one of them. Until right now. I just listened to this Again and realized that Lois DID know when Clark was lying. She just didn't really Care before. I remember in S9, when she said he was hiding something about Zod... but let it go. Also, in Rabid where she told him to "keep the mystery." She can tell, she doesn't PUSH

Also on his birthday when she gave him a diary she told him that he can write things down and not keep it bottled up inside him. Sometime later she told someone ( I can't remember) that people keep secrets for a reason and she was referring to Clark.

Yes, I loved how they did that. Lois understood Clark so well. She picked up on things with him so quickly but yet still gave him the space/opportunity to be his own man and fill her in in his own time when he's ready.

i like this part because of two things one is the best love declaration ever. and because Clark said this just after Oliver had ask Lois "Why ME?" (Lois choosing Oliver on the mirror world) And Lois tells him "Because you are a very good good man" Oliver then says something like there must be others and Lois says " if there are I haven´t know him" and BOOM Clark steals her away and steals her heart in one go.

@luckyjasonfan I think Clark said "allies" just b/c he wanted to let her know that he was on her side and not against her. Then as he got deeper into his speech, he couldn't help himself and his love for Lois took over, even tho this wasn't HIS Lois.

I love Lois Lane,,,she is way much better than Lana...Clark should have spent the 10 seasons loving her instead of wasting 8 good seasons to see her!! @princesskagome100 An AU Clois relationship would be highly unlikely. AU Clark was raised by AU Lionel to become a sociopath w/super powers, and who had the same daddy issues Lex had. Lois in either universe is too pure of heart to put up with that nonsense. AU Clark messing with AU Lois is like a little boy pulling the wings off of flies. The point of Smallville is that Superman wasn't just born good; he became good because of the people he had in his life beginning with the Kents.

It yet in Kent, Clark gave him a second chance and he did go home and talk to jorel. Oliver was dead. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities that he changes and then something happens between them. You can tell they are still connected.

He's just so much hotter than that creepy guy that's banging his own adopted sister! lol I didn't understand why he said they were "allies" though; instead of saying that they were together?? I did like that earlier Clark said that Oliver was lucky to have her & seemed to be happy that she was with Oliver, since she couldn't be with his freaky counterpart! He wants her to be happy *sigh*
